New statement from the ‘Incite the Believers’ Operations Room: “About a Quality Operation For a Regiment Behind Enemy Lines Called ‘And Sit In Wait For Them At Every Place Of Ambush'”

The title of this release is in reference to Qur’anic verse 9:5. Here it is in full: “And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, God is Forgiving and Merciful.”

Special Representative of the US State Department and head of negotiation team Khalilzad met with the Political Deputy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and head of the Political Office, the respected Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

Views were exchanged about key aspects for a peaceful resolution of the Afghan issue. The Political Deputy of the Islamic Emirate remarked:

It is absolutely vital that the two key agenda points of the previous meeting (full withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan and preventing Afghanistan from harming others) be finalized. This will open the way for resolving other aspects of the issue and we cannot enter into other topics before this. It was affirmed in the meeting that talks shall resume today (Wednesday) and the mentioned points shall be extensively discussed so that an agreement can be reached regarding all issues including the withdrawal of foreign forces.
