As-Saḥāb Media presents a new audio message from Ayman aẓ-Ẓawāhirī: "First Installment of a Message of Hope and Glad Tidings to Our People in Egypt"

UPDATE 2/19 10:23 AM: Here is an English translation of the entire audio message below. There is no indication that Ẓawāhirī even mentioned anything about the protests, let alone that Mubarak resigned. Interestingly, too, Ẓawāhirī mentions something along the lines of: I also discussed this more in the second copy of Knights Under the Prophets Banner. The second edition was released on November 27, 2010.

UPDATE 2/18 4:08 PM: Here is an English translation of Ẓawāhirī’s outline in the new audio/video. It should be noted that he only covered the ideological corruption thus far and has not discussed corruptions 2-4 or the second question that he raises. When Ẓawāhirī releases the other episodes I will make sure to update the outline:

New article from Shaykh Abū Basīr al-Ṭarṭūsī: "Lessons Learned Through the Fall of the Pharaoh of Egypt"

NOTE: Shaykh Abū Basīr al-Ṭarṭūsī has been one of the busiest writing about the Arab uprisings. For more of what he has written recently see:

al-Ṭarṭūsī is a Syrian Islamist who lives in London. al-Ṭarṭūsī is considered one of the most influential jihādī theorists. For instance, as highlighted by Vahid Brown on Jihadica, al-Ṭarṭūsī has 200 works in the jihādītext collection “A Mujāhid’s Bookbag.” Also, in the past al-Ṭarṭūsī has condemned Dr. Fadl for his revisionsand Yūsuf al-Qaraḍāwī for a variety of what al-Ṭarṭūsī views as problematic rulings.

New message from Abū Adam al-'Almānī of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan: "To His Brothers in Germany"

NOTE: This message from Abū Adam al-‘Almānī comes on the heels of a recent statement from his brother Abū Ibrāhīm al-’Almānī that detailed how they traveled from Germany to Yemen, where they met Anwar al ’Awlaqī, and then went to Pakistan to join up with al-Qā’idah, but later joined the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan instead. The below statement describes the various military operations the IMU has conducted over the past year.

New statement from Abū Ibrāhīm al-'Almānī of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan: "Our Way to IMU"

NOTE: The below statement is about how Abū Ibrāhīm al-‘Almānī and his brother Abū Adam al-‘Almānī traveled from Germany to Yemen, where they met Anwar al ‘Awlaqī, and then went to Pakistan to join up with al-Qā’idah, but later joined the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan instead. al-Ma’sādat Media Foundation presents a new video message from Shaykh Abū Muḥammad al-Ṭaḥāwī: "Related Events in Tunisia and Egypt"

NOTE: Shaykh Abū Muḥammad al-Ṭaḥāwī [Abed Shihadeh al-Tahawi], is a global jihadist cleric from Jordan. He  is acquaintances with Abū Muḥammad al-Maqdisī. Humām al-Bilāwī [Abū Dujānah al-Khurāsānī] gave him a shout out in his interview with al-Qā’idah Central’s As-Saḥāb Media prior to his “martyrdom” and killing seven CIA officers in Khost, Afghanistan in December 2009:

Before anything else, I send my Salām to Shaykh Abū Muḥammad al-Maqdisī, I send my Salām to Shaykh Abū Muḥammad al-Ṭaḥāwī, and I send my Salām to all the Mujāhidīn in Jordan, and I tell them: be patient, for by Allah, we have seen Jordanian intelligence and its prisons, and we have seen how the intelligence officers would forbid brothers from reciting the Qur’ān in an audible voice. Even reading the Qur’ān is forbidden! So I tell them: be patient, but I also tell them: there is no solution to the situation in Jordan other than mobilizing to the land of Jihād to learn the arts of war and train in them, then return to Jordan and begin operations.

al-Qā’idah in the Arabian Peninsula releases Issue #16 of its Arabic language magazine Ṣadā al-Malāḥim

UPDATE 2/16 8:32 AM: Flashpoint Intel has translated two of the articles from the below magazine:

UPDATE 2/15 3:59 PM: Check out Gregory Johnsen’s take on the first article in the below magazine that is about the uprising in Tunisia titled “To Our People in Tunisia Don’t Waste What You Gained” on page three.

NOTE: For those who know Arabic I would highly recommend reading through this since it will provide more insight into AQAP than Inspire Magazine, especially with regard to internal Yemeni affairs. Previous issues: #15, and #14. If you are interested in any other previous issue send me an email and I will send you a copy.
There is a new article on page 15 from AQAP’s deputy leader Abū Sufyān al-Azdī (Sa’īd al-Shehrī) titled “Muslim Pride.” It was recently reported that Sa’īd al-Shehrī was killed, but there has been no confirmation yet from AQAP. There is also a new one from AQAP’s top Sharī’ah official Shaykh Abū Zūbayr ‘Adīl bīn ‘Abdullah al-Abāb on page 25 titled “Independence of the Religious Scholars.” Also featured are articles on the parcel bomb plot, the Ḥūthīs, and Somalia.
