New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's Zabīhullah Mujāhid: "We Strongly Reject Karzai’s Claims"

The head of the stooge Kabul administration, Hamid Karzai recently asserted in an interview with the ‘The Wall Street Journal’ that the US and Kabul administration have started secret talks with the Taliban which have also proven very effective.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly rejects Karzai’s claims and adds that the representatives of Islamic Emirate have not talked with the puppet administration anywhere and have not even yet decided if they want to hold talks with the administration of Kabul. It should be mentioned that there is nothing else left for the enemy except propaganda through which it desires to extend its stooge rule for a few more days. But just as their other ploys failed and were uprooted in their initial stages, this new campaign of deceit will also be condemned to failure and will face humiliating disclosure. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan believes that even if someone has met with the Karzai administration on the behalf of Islamic Emirate then they must be a fraud. Just like how a similar incident took place previously, it is entirely possible that someone else could have once again duped this administration because the enemy is dazed and have created an environment with its own hands from which anyone can easily take personal advantage and offer empty promises in return.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "On the Occasion of the 23rd Anniversary of the Soviet Withdrawal from Afghanistan"

Exactly 23 years from today, the occupying soldiers of the former Soviet Union wept as they withdrew from Afghanistan. The occupying troops of the Soviet Union of yesterday, just like the barbaric soldiers of America and other crusaders of today invaded our beloved homeland and for exactly ten years, they barbarically spilled the blood of its heroic Afghan people in order to subdue them. But in the end and after the Jihad, struggle and countless sacrifices of this gallant nation, it faced such a humiliating defeat that the whole red empire collapsed and the atheist communist ideology became a laughing stock of the entire world. Historically, the Afghans can declare this commemorative day as a day of salvation of the entire humanity from the evil of communism because as a consequence of their Islamic Jihad against the Soviet, not only did Afghanistan gain its independence but it also served as the driving force behind rescuing all the subdued central Asian nations from the evil of communism and from the clutches of the rule of the soviet empire. Today, on the anniversary of this commemorative day, the invading forces of America and her allies in Afghanistan, with the help of Almighty Allah are facing the exact same fate as the former intrusive Russians did due to the blessed legitimate Jihad of the Afghan people. The occupying Russians, after testing its strength against the gallant Afghans for a decade learnt that staying in the home of the Afghan Mujahid nation means nothing more than self destruction and with this realization, it fashioned a way for its departure under the cover of Geneva Accords and unconditionally withdrew all its forces.  But the Americans still want to keep testing the proven Afghans and are attempting, through various unjustifiable reasons and under disastrous conditions, to stay in Afghanistan. On the occasion of this historical day of the retreat of the occupying Soviet forces, the arrogant Americans must take lessons from the previous humiliating invasions of the British and Soviets, seize their hands from this vain confrontation with the heroic Afghans and immediately withdraw all of its forces from Afghanistan. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan would like to congratulate its Mujahid nation and the entire Muslim Ummah collectively on the occasion of this celebratory day. We ask Allah to grant us the same victory against today’s occupying crusader Americans as it did against yesterday’s atheist Communists. Wasalam 23/03/1433 15/02/2012

New interview by CNN with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's Zabīhullah Mujāhid

Alemarah website presents to its viewers the interview of Zabihullah Mujahid done with CNN news network on the 14/02/2012 where a range of questions regarding the current ongoing situation and political issues are answered.
 
Q. Is it possible for the Taliban to renounce international terrorism in one of its written statements as per the American demand?
A. All praise is due to Allah and may his peace and blessings be upon his chosen servant.
To proceed, I must first and foremost say that we do not work according to the guidelines of America or any other country but all of our decisions are based on Islamic principles while giving consideration to our national interests however based on mutual respect, we do believe in reaching an understanding with all the countries of the world.
Now, regarding the issue of terrorism:
If America and its allies consider the current Jihad and struggle in Afghanistan against the eradication of the occupation and its continuation until all foreign troops leave and an Islamic government is established as terrorism, then we cannot shun this as it would be an un-Islamic act because we consider this Jihad and struggle as our Islamic obligation, the shunning of which is not possible in any circumstance. However, as we continue with this obligation (Jihad and struggle) we are religiously held responsible in preventing civilian casualties.
 
Q. Do you have delegates based in Qatar at the moment who are engaged in talks with America? If you don’t, do you have plans to send delegations in the near future?
A. A representative of Islamic Emirate has held meetings with American delegates in Qatar regarding confidence building measures. As for when we will send or not send delegations to Qatar, then it all depends on when we reach the negotiation stage. Up until now, this has not officially occurred and naturally, as we reach the negotiation stage, a delegation or a team of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will be chosen and sent to Qatar.
 
Q. Have you yet been asked to meet with the Karzai administration in Saudi Arabia? If not, will you accept to meet with them in Saudi Arabia if requested?
A. Before I answer your question I firstly must say that in order to reach an understanding with America, Qatar was chosen as an intermediary nation by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. This was our own choice and not on due part to the behest or pressure of another nation, a selection which America also accepted.
In regards to Saudi Arabia, no one has put forward such a request to us and even if such a thing was requested, our answer will be that the government of Karzai is not independent and meeting with it will not benefit in any way in solving the problem.
 
Q. Do you believe that the active lower level Taliban will accept you accord if you were to reach a positive outcome with America in Qatar?
A. In our system, no consideration is given to the issue of high rank or low rank but rather the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan works as a cohesive administration. All of its offices, its officials and members work for a mutual goal under the leadership of the Commander of the Faithful. The current talks or future negotiations all take place with the permission and guidance of the Amir and all agreements which all done with the consent of the Amir in the light of Islamic principles and national interests are happily accepted by all and they who work earnestly to implement them.
 
Q. Do you think talking with the Karzai administration will be beneficial or do you want to directly talk with the Americans?
A. I must say that Karzai, Kabul administration, Afghans and the Americans or Washington is not concerned here as some people say, as a form of protest, that the Taliban only want to talk with the Americans instead of their own Afghans. In reality, the concern is of one exercising power and one with no power. It is well known to the Afghan people as well as the world that the real power holder fighting the Mujahideen in Afghanistan is America. It has used Karzai and his administration as an instrument to maintain its grip and continue its occupation.
 
Q. If those Taliban that are being held in Guantanamo are not released, will your negotiations with the Americans still continue?
A. Negotiations have not yet began with the Americans so talking about it continuing does not mean much. Now the question is, when will negotiations begin? I must say that before any negotiations can take place, confidence building measures must first succeed so an atmosphere can be created for negotiations and this confidence building measure rests entirely with the Americans and they must take steps for it which are; exchange of Guantanamo prisoners, the opening of a political office and the termination of the black list of the United Nations as well as the bounty lists of America and her allies.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Regarding the Martyrdom of its Deputy, Distinguished Personality and Honorable Mujāhid, Al Hāj Mulla 'Ubaydah Allah Akhond"

It is with immense sorrow that we received confirmation that Al Haaj Mullah Obaidullah Akhond, who was the minister of defense during Islamic Emirate and the deputy of Islamic Emirate during the current barbaric invasion of Afghanistan under the leadership of America, has passed away in a Pakistani prison. Surely to Allah we belong and to Him is the return.

The honorable Mujahid was detained by the government of Pakistan on the 3rd of January 2007 in the province of Balouchistan while on a visit after which his whereabouts were unknown for a long period of time until recently, when his family received word that two years from today, on March the 5th 2010, the mentioned person passed away from heart complications while being held in a prison in the city of Karachi. To validate this distressing news, the family has attained trustworthy evidence which confirms his passing away however it is still not established if this distinguished personality of the Islamic Ummah and Afghanistan passed away due to heart complications or if he was martyred due to torture while being imprisoned.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, on the occasion of the passing away of Al Haaj Mullah Obaidullah Akhond, would like to extend its commiseration, condolences, and consolation to his distinguished family, all the Mujahideen and the people of Afghanistan as well as the entire Muslim Ummah. Just as the mentioned Mujahid devoted his soul in his Jihadi life and path to his Creator and Lord Almighty, we supplicate to Allah (SWT) to accept his martyrdom and grant him the highest ranks in Paradise (al Firdows). Similarly, we ask Allah (SWT) to grant his relatives patience and a great reward.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan considers the martyrdom of Shaheed Mullah Obaidullah Akhond a void for the entire Islamic Ummah and especially Afghanistan which cannot be compensated and vigorously demand from the Pakistani officials to give the complete and factual information of Al Haaj Mullah Obaidullah’s detention, illness and death to the Islamic Emirate. In this regard, we also hold the International Red Cross responsible as the news of the martyrdom of Al Haaj Mullah Obaidullah Akhond was received after a period of 2 years and also for not providing any type information about the concerned martyr and others to the families of these prisoners of Islamic Emirate who are held in Pakistan and we also demand that they fill this shortcoming in the future as it is their obligation.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, at a time when all of the non Muslim states and nations have violated its country, considers it very unfortunate that it is targeted with such inhumane actions by some Islamic countries every now and again. Today, the Afghan nation is considered homeless, helpless and oppressed only because of their crime of Islamic valor. On the account of Islamic brotherhood, we call on all the Islamic nations and its people to behave in a brotherly manner with all the Afghan immigrants, travelers and prisoners in all parts of the world.

Short biography

Al Haaj Mullah Obaidullah Akhond was the son of the Al Haaj Mullah Yaar Muhammad Akhond Sahib and the grandson of a famous religious scholar of his time, the late Al Haaj Mullah Fath Muhammad Akhond. Al Haaj Mullah Obaidullah Akhond opened his eyes to this transient world in the village of Alkozo, Nalgham area, Zhiri district in the year 1388 hijri.

The late (may Allah have mercy on him) had just reached his teenage years when the rule of the soviet invaders was forced upon our beloved country.

During this period, the late (may Allah have mercy on him), due to his religious zeal joined the front of the famous Taliban commander, Haji Mullah Muhammad Sadiq Akhond and fought shoulder to shoulder with his armed brothers against the invading infidels and was quickly promoted as the head commander of this front after showing exceptional capability and sincerity.

It is said that during the hard periods of Jihad, the late (may Allah have mercy on him) was wounded multiple times and was once wounded in Mahlajat area of Kandahar city while fighting in the same trench with the esteemed Commander of the faithful, Mullah Muhammad Omar Mujahid. The late (may Allah have mercy on him) was busy with his armed struggle in Kandahar until the very last moments of Jihad against Communism while continuing it in the front of Mullah Muhammad Sadiq Akhond, which was famously known as the Taliban front.

During the factional chaos that ensued, the late (may Allah have mercy on him) was one of the first persons to endure various hardships from the initial stages of the establishment of the Taliban Islamic movement to bring order. Besides bearing other responsibilities for the Islamic movement, he also served as the commander of Kandahar corps until the liberation of Kabul.

One year before the liberation of Kabul, Mullah Obaidullah Akhond (may Allah have mercy on him) was captured by the fighters of Ismail Khan during a large scale offensive in Farah province on day of Eid but was released after a forty day period after a general prisoner exchange.

When the capital of Afghanistan was liberated by the Islamic movement, Mullah Obaidullah Akond (may Allah have mercy on him) was appointed the minister of defense by the Amir ul Mumineen.

Mullah Obaidullah Akhond (may Allah have mercy on him) was wounded seven times during his time with the Islamic movement while fighting on the various fronts and was fatally wounded the last time near Kalakano district center (north of Kabul) in which his neural system was also damaged.

When the capital Kabul and other major cities were evacuated by Islamic Emirate after the American attack, Mullah Obaidullah Akhond (may Allah have mercy on him) also travelled to Kandahar from Kabul through Charasyab and Logar and with newfound spirit, presented himself with the initiation of Jihad and was later appointed as his deputy by the esteemed Amir ul Mumineen.

Mullah Obaidullah Akhond (may Allah have mercy on him) was also always busy in trying to complete his religious studies alongside his Jihadi activities and was even busy with studying books from Warha Dawrah (one year before graduation) right before being detained.

In the end, the righteous warrior and Mujahid of the right path gave up his soul to the caller of death while he had spent all his life in the service of this divine religion, Jihad, learning and establishment of an Islamic government without any distractions. May his soul rest in peace and memory live on forever.

Surely to Allah we belong and to Him is the return.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Regarding the Recent One-Sided UNAMA Report On Civilian Casualties"

The representative office of United Nations in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has once again tried to portray the occupational forces in Afghanistan as the maintainers of security!! and Mujahideen as the cause of the conflict and insecurity however the ground realities, as seen by the people of the world are quite contrary.
In its annual report, UNAMA has written that in the year 2011, 3021 Afghan civilians were killed of which seventy seven percent (77%) were caused by Mujahideen, resulting mainly from changes in their military tactics whereas out of the remaining 23%, 410 civilian deaths were caused by the invaders and their puppets and the further 279 were not attributed to any particular party. The most surprising part of the report was that in 2011, only 63 civilian deaths were said to have been caused by the night raids of the invaders!!
The United Nations has been repeatedly trying for the past decade to cover the inhumane actions of the actual perpetrators of the ongoing Afghan war (occupational forces) and to give legality, in one form or another, to all their crimes while they (occupational forces) hold memberships in this very same establishment and blatantly step on all of its rules and regulations in front of the world!! but it still receives the nod of approval. If the UNAMA report is analyzed properly, it becomes clear that it is more about furthering a political agenda rather than human rights. What is even worse is that this report deliberately encourages the invaders to carry on playing with the honor, dignity, wealth and life of the ordinary Afghans.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan calls on the United Nations to cease from sacrificing its prestige for America. Admit to the realities! Note that not much difference can be observed between you and the White House on many issues related to Afghanistan so much so that some of your policies directly follow those of the White House. So in these circumstances, it becomes natural for people to think of the United Nations as the supporters of foreign policies of America instead of it being an independent organ!
Another puzzling point of the report is that active figures of the Kabul administration that play key roles as the protectors and backers of the invaders who are targeted and killed by Mujahideen like provincial and district governors, police chiefs and others are classed as civilians while eyes have been intentionally turned away from those defenseless civilians who are martyred along with their families in the night raids and other barbaric operations of the invaders.
According to an investigative report of OS and TL foundations published in 2011: foreign troops carry out between 12 and 20 raids every night which has caused civilians human and material losses many times more than those figures stated by the United Nations. We would like to present a sample of the casualties caused by the invaders in night raids during 2011 to the chief of UNAMA as documented evidence and remind him that these are the figures published or confirmed by independent news agencies, western outlets and the Kabul administration. We also emphasize that the actual figures of civilian casualties caused in these types of operations are many times higher.
On February 20th, news was published in which the governor of Kunar province (Fazlullah Wahidi) was quoted as saying that in Adra Gul, Sokie and Eigal areas of Ghaziabad district, 64 civilians were killed which includes twenty women and twenty nine children during bombardment by American forces, according to a report compiled later by an investigation team.
On the 1st of March in Nanglam Tangi area of Manogi district (Kunar), media reported the deaths of nine children due to American airstrikes.
A report published on 8th of March stated that fifty eight civilians have been martyred by the invading troops in the various areas of the war-plagued district of Sangin (Helmand) during the first week of March.
During a raid by American troops on Lahori village, La Hussain area, Shigal district (Kunar) on 19th March, ten civilians including women and children were martyred and five others wounded.
Thirteen innocent countrymen were killed and several wounded on 12th April when American forces raided their homes in Taz Nawa area, Ghormach district (Badghis).
On the same day during another incident in Gulab Khel village of Tangi Dara, Sayedabad district (Maidan Wardag), American forces killed and wounded 12 civilians on the main road.
During protests in Afghanistan on the 13th and 14th April against the burning of Quran by the fanatic and barbaric priest (Terry Jones) in Florida, sixteen civilians were martyred and more than one hundred wounded by the puppet national army in Kandahar city and various districts.
Airstrikes were carried out by the invading forces in Saa Bandi area of Angam district (Kunar) on the 20th April from which nine civilians (2 women and 2 children) were martyred.
On the 21st April, eight innocent civilians were martyred by American forces in Kushk Kohna district’s Zaman Karez area (Herat).
On the 2nd of June in Omarzo village, Sang Aatish district (Badghis), invaders killed a tribal elder and detained two others.
A famous tribal elder (Haji Sakhi Daad) from Darboom area, Maqur district (Badghis) was arrested while a famous spiritual leader (Sayed Haji Gul Jaan Agha) who had thousands of followers was taken out of his monastery and then martyred on 6th of May.
On the night of 18th May, invading forces martyred five civilians including women in Ahan Dara area, located at around 3 km from Takhar provincial capital of Taloqan. A large scale protest was organized by the masses after the incident demanding the release of detainees and trail of the perpetrators however one hundred and thirty five civilians were martyred and wounded by the police who indiscriminately shot into the crowd under the shade of democracy.
Initial reports on 25th of May indicated the thirty civilians were martyred when the invading forces carried out airstrikes on Do Aab district (Nooristan) after it was captured by Mujahideen. In the reports which surfaced later, it was said that there were up to a hundred casualties but during the national Jirga, a representative of Nooristan said: three hundred civilians were killed and wounded in those airstrikes.
After a 4 day battle between Mujahideen and American troops in the adjacent areas of Watapur district (Kunar), large scale bombardment was carried out by the invaders while retreating from the area during 28th-30th June from which a few Mujahideen and twenty three civilians were martyred while several other civilians were left wounded.
According to media reports quoting locals from Nawzad district (Helmand), at least twenty six civilians were martyred when the invaders bombed the residents of this district on 22nd of May. This incident was also confirmed by the invaders who asserted that six opposition (Mujahideen) were killed, a claim repeatedly rejected by the locals. Fourteen more civilians were also martyred in the same district by the invaders later on about which a spectacle was also put on by the head of Kabul administration Karzai: “If the coalition forces are to carryout the same actions again then the Afghans will view them as occupiers”. Even after the mentioned warning by Karzai, tens of other countrymen were martyred in the different corners of the country by the invaders, a crime which is still continuing.
On 6th July, the occupational forces bombed a house in Samji area of Mando district (Khost) in which thirteen civilians were martyred. The police chief of this district also confirms this account and attributes the resultant bombardment on false information in which eight children, two women and three men of the same family become martyrs.
Sixteen civilians most of which were children were martyred on 12th of May from airstrikes on Azra district’s Tanga Dara area (Logar). The spokesman of this district Deen Muhammad Darwaish and the provincial council member Doctor Abdul Wali Wakeel also confirm civilians were killed.
After a bomb which blew apart the armored vehicle of foreign invaders on the main road in Shniz Dara area of Sayedabad district (Maidan Wardag) on 23rd of July, the invading forces shot into the civilians, martyring Doctor ‘Aqila Hikmat, her son and a member of her in-laws while 2 other family members were wounded.
Hundreds of people took to the streets in Ahmad Khel and Zazi Aryub districts of Paktia province against the invaders on 4th of August after the invaders had martyred and wounded thirteen civilians in a rocket attack.
A report published by the media on 8th of August said that nine members of a family were martyred when the invaders bombed their house the previous day, quoting locals from Nad Ali district (Helmand). Nad Ali’s Habibullah Samalani also confirmed this account during an interview with Radio Azadi.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's Zabīhullah Mujāhid: "Remarks Regarding Baseless Claims of US Officials"

In the later hours of Friday, US officials declared to a number of news agencies including Reuters that a letter was sent last year to the White House by the Commander of the Faithful, Mullah Muhammad Omar Mujahid in which a number of subjects were touched upon including peace and prisoner exchange.
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan rejects this baseless rumor with the strongest of words and considers it as part of the chain to create anxiety and distrust. The decisions made by Islamic Emirate are not founded on imploring or entreating anyone but are based on pure faith, divine support and the backing of its courageous nation. All praise is due to Allah, we have adamantly proved in the past decade that we shall never bow our heads to the enemy but will counter every one of its actions. American officials, instead of making up such baseless lies should acknowledge the ground realities and accept the transcendence and firmness of this nation in every period. Wishful claims will not cure the current ailments of America but it must foremost remove its presence from our soil in order to save its people from the heavy wounds of war. Hoping for surrender from the Afghan people is an unrealistic wish and a goal which could not be achieved by America in the past ten years despite employing its state of the art weaponry and satanic stratagems. Such irresponsible claims by Americans and the media outlets associated to them will not serve any purpose except put into spotlight the turbulence inside the White House and amongst its officials. The esteemed Commander of the Faithful, Mullah Muhammad Omar Mujahid is very well known by the Afghans and the rest of the world; his determination and will have also been thoroughly tested in the past decade so tying such rumors to him cannot mean anything other then blatantly exposing oneself and an attempt to please a few American officials.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Response Regarding the Prospective Meeting Between the Kabul Administration and Representatives of Islamic Emirate in Saudi Arabia"

Saudi Arabia is without a doubt the land of the two sacred mosques and a center of other holy sites of Islam which we also highly revere however the reports spread in the media which state that representatives of Islamic Emirate will meet with those of the Kabul administration in the near future in this country are all false. We must state that the Islamic Emirate, while engaging the international community to come to a mutual understanding has not yet reached the negotiation stage with the opposition (America and her allies) but rather it must first complete the confidence building measures which have not yet started. So it is due to this that we must once again ask the media outlets to refrain from publish such baseless and unconfirmed reports which only serve to confuse the minds and they should follow the unbiased ethics of journalism in order to present facts to the masses.
