New statement from al-Qā’idah in the Arabian Peninsula: "Condolences on the Death of Shaykh ‘Aṭīyyatullah al-Lībī"

UPDATE 1/19/12 1:11 PM: Here is an English translation of the below Arabic statement:
In the name of Allah the most merciful
{Think not of those who are slain in Allah’s way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord}
All praise is due to Allah the Lord of the Worlds, and may the peace and blessings be upon the most honorable Prophet and Messenger, our Prophet Muhammad, his household and Companions.
And Thereafter:
With hearts satisfied with Allah’s judgments, reassured of His promise, the Mujahideen in the Arabian Peninsula offer condolences to the Muslim Umma generally and to the Mujahideen in the battlefield of Khurasaan specifically for the death of the nurturing Sheikh and the caller and the unifying Muhajir, Abu Abdul Rahman Attiyah Allah Jamaal Al-Misraati may Allah have mercy on him and raise his degree in the ranks of the martyrs, for the Sheikh may Allah have mercy upon him was killed by the Americans after a long journey of Hijrah and Jihad in Allah’s name against the Crusader tyrants and the arrogant apostates, this journey began with his joining the Mujahideen in Islamic Maghreb, fighting the tyrant of Libya Al-Qaddafi and his sacrifice continued so that he participated in several different fronts until Allah honored him with fighting the Americans in the battlefield of Khurasaan, and with the journey of Jihad and sacrifice, he spared no effort in calling to Allah and direction, for he was an Imam for the truth, gathering and not dividing, and seeking to be closer and to make the ranks and unify the efforts, so Allah’s mercy is wide.
And the greatest thing that consoles the Umma in its tragedy is that the Sheikh was killed while he was steadfast on righteousness -we consider him thus- and his death will only be -Allah willing- motive for his brother Mujahideen after him to continue Jihad in the name of Allah and giving all they can to restore Allah’s rule on earth and restore the stolen rights of the Umma.
{And Allah hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not.}

al-Ma’sadat Media Foundation presents new research from Abū Sa'd al 'Āmilī: "For You Is Your Religion, And For Me Is My Religion: Neo-Islamists and Democracy"

NOTE: The first part of the title of this research is verse 109:6 of the Qur’ān (Sūrat al-Kāfirūn; The Disbelievers). For those interested, here is some Qur’ān tafāsīr (exegesis) from classical mufassirūn (exegetes) on this particular verse:
Asbāb al-Nuzūl (Occasions of Revelation) al-Wāhidī:
(Say: O disbelievers! …) [109:1-6]. These verses was revealed about a group of people from the Quraysh who said to the Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace: “Come follow our religion and we will follow yours. You worship our idols for a year and we worship you Allah the following year. In this way, if what you have brought us is better than what we have, we would partake of it and take our share of goodness from it; and if what we have is better than what you have brought, you would partake of it and take your share of goodness from it”. He said: “Allah forbid that I associate anything with Him”, and so Allah, exalted is He, revealed (Say: O disbelievers!) up to the end of the Surah. The Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, then went to the Sacred Sanctuary, which was full of people, and recited to them the Surah. It was at that point that they despaired of him.
Tafsīr al-Tustarī:
(You have your religion and I have a religion). You have your choice (ikhtiyār) for your religion and I have my choice for a religion. Then [this verse] was abrogated by the verse of the sword [9:5]. His words, Exalted is He.
Tafsīr al-Jalālayn:
You have your religion, idolatry, and I have a religion’, Islam: this was [revealed] before he was commanded to wage war [against the idolaters] (all seven Qur’ānic readers omit the yā’ of the genitive possessive construction [in wa-liya dīni] whether with a pause or without; Ya‘qūb, however, retains it in both cases).
Tanwīr al-Miqbās min Tafsīr Ibn ‘Abbās:
(Unto you your religion) of disbelief and ascribing partners to Allah, (and unto me my religion) Islam and faith in Allah. The verses of fighting then abrogated this and the Prophet (pbuh) did fight them.’
Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr:
(To you be your religion.) means disbelief. (and to me my religion.) means, Islam. This is the end of the Tafsir of Surat Qul ya Ayyuhal-Kafirun.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Regarding the Session Convened in Berlin Under the Orders of America"

Last Monday, a session was convened in Aspen Institute of Berlin city, Germany, in which a number of infamous warlords from Afghanistan participated.
The session was gathered and financed by high ranking members from the American congress and its purpose was to establish a federal system in Afghanistan through these gunmen.
While Islamic Emirate is exerting its full efforts to tighten and unify Afghanistan even more, the American congressmen are strongly in its opposition regarding which our stance is as follows:

  1. Afghanistan is the common home of all Afghans. Any person paving the way for the disintegration of Afghanistan under the title of a Federal system will be treated as enemies and Islamic Emirate, as the defenders of the borders of the country, will not withhold itself from taking any type of reaction. Everyone knows that the Islamic Emirate has sacrificed thousands of members in Dasht-e-laila for the unification of this nation.
  2. This session which was directly initiated and supervised by known figures from the American congress and incited for by known gunmen is in reality a corruption-spreading crime which seeks to entrap Afghanistan in more strife. Islamic Emirate holds the American occupiers, its congress members and the backers of this session responsible for this mischief and asks them to seize their hands from making such destructive plans.
  3. Americans must learn lessons from their current ignominious defeat in Afghanistan and look for ways to exist from Afghanistan and the region while eliminating all the factors of war instead of adding fuel to them.
  4. Islamic Emirate considers this foreign plan initiated by some proven and hated faces a program for creating fraction amongst the nation and rejects the poisonous propaganda of the enemy which depicts as if Islamic Emirate will be content with having control of a few provinces. We shall not stop our armed Jihad for a single moment as long as the invaders are present on our soil as it would be contradictory to the goals of our decade old Jihad and as long as the occupiers have not been completely gotten rid of, Islamic Emirate shall never consider ceasefire even for a single instance.
  5. Islamic Emirate asks the government of Germany to not become a part of the plan which will rekindle war and bring about more strife but rather it should respect the aspiration of the whole nation instead of the few outcast faces.

Surrender of 11 of the Soldiers of Apostasy in the Islamic State of Juba:

الحمد وحده، أعز جنده، ونصر عبده، وهزم الأحزاب وحده، والصلاة والسلام على من لا نبي بعده أما بعد: وصل إلى مديرية سلقلي التابعة لولاية جوبا الإسلامية 11 من الجنود الذين كانوا ينتمون إلى ميليشيات الردة وتحديدا ميليشيات المرتد أحمد مذوبي، كان الجنود قد فروا من مدينة قوقاني التي تتواجد فيها القوات الكينية وميليشيات أحمد مذوبي وحملوا معهم أسلحتهم المكونة من 2 سلا بيكا و 9 كلاشنكوف وقبل فرارهم قرر الجنود الفارون أن لا يطلقوا أي رصاص أثناء المعارك مع المجاهدين حتى يتمكنوا من الفرار، وبحمد الله وصلوا إلى الولاية الإسلامية واستقبلتهم الإدارة بحفاوة. اللهم منزل الكتاب مجري السحاب هازم الأحزاب، اهزم الصليبيين ومن حالفهم من المرتدين.

A Kenyan Aircraft Bombed the City of “Jilib” for the Second Time:

الحمد وحده، أعز جنده، ونصر عبده، وهزم الأحزاب وحده، والصلاة والسلام على من لا نبي بعده أما بعد: قصفت الطائرات الكينية للمرة الثانية مدينة جلب أحد المدن التابعة لولاية جوبا الإسلامية، وقد وقع القصف بعد ظهر اليوم على المناطق السكنية بالمدينة، وأسفر القصف الجبان عن مقتل 6 من أسرة واحدة أكثرهم أطفال، وسقط أيضا جراء القصف عدد من الجرحى في المدينة، وتعمل الولاية الإسلامية على إسعاف الجرحى وتقديم المساعدات الطبية اللازمة لهم. اللهم منزل الكتاب مجري السحاب هازم الأحزاب، اهزم الصليبيين ومن حالفهم من المرتدين.

The Season of the Distribution of Zakāt Begins in the Islamic State of Bay and Bakool:

Destruction of the Water Tanker for the Ethiopian Forces in the City of Luuq:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الحمد وحده، أعز جنده، ونصر عبده، وهزم الأحزاب وحده، والصلاة والسلام على من لا نبي بعده أما بعد: ضمن استراتيجية قطع الإمدادات التي تطبقها ولاية “قيذو” الإسلامية قامت كتيبة المتفجرات التابعة للولاية باستهداف ناقلة مياه تابعة للقوات الإثيوبية بمدينة لوق، وقد تم استهداف السيارة بعبوة ناسفة أدت إلى تدميرها بالكامل، وكان على متن الناقلة 9 جنود إثيوبيين سقطوا بين قتيل وجريح، وتفيد الأنباء أن القوات الإثيوبية قامت بالاعتداء على المدنيين بمدينة لوق بعد العملية وقتلوا عدد من الأبرياء. اللهم منزل الكتاب مجري السحاب هازم الأحزاب، اهزم الصليبيين ومن حالفهم من المرتدين.
