In the continuing cycle of crimes by enemy circles, the Imam of Sher Shah Suri mosque in 4th Karta of Kabul city – Mawlawi Azizullah Muflih – was martyred in an explosion today, surely to Allah we belong and to Him is the return.
The Islamic Emirate strongly condemns the killing, considers it a heinous crime and prays for acceptance of his martyrdom.
Such systematic killings have begun taking place as the Afghan people have started taking steps towards peace.
The enemy intelligence organs that fear the role of noble scholars want to eliminate those notable and astute scholars who are raising the general public and specifically the youth in the spirit of religion and freedom.
The martyrdom of the Imam of Wazir Muhammad Akbar Khan mosque, the late Muhammad Ayaz Niyazai, the attacks on people inside mosques during Ramadhan, bomb blast at a funeral, attack on a maternity ward, destruction of power pylons and damage to public infrastructure are all part of enemy designed malicious plans that are being executed at this sensitive juncture to spread fear, terror and disappointment and to hamper the peace process.
The Islamic Emirate warns perpetrators behind these attacks that you cannot hide from the Afghan nation and the day is not far when you shall be held to account for each crime, Allah willing.
On the other hand, we also call upon the noble scholars to be mindful of their security because the enemies of your creed and beliefs are very cunning and cold-hearted that will not hold back from any savagery and crime.
Spokesman of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan
