New statement from Hānī al-Sibā’ī: "Re-arrest of Shaykh Muḥammad aẓ-Ẓawāhirī and Took Him to an Unknown Location"

NOTE: Muḥammad aẓ-Ẓawāhirī has been re-arrested after being released from prison after 12 years two days ago. Should be interesting to hear how Ayman reacts to all of this. You can see here three videos from when Muḥammad aẓ-Ẓawāhirī was released from prison.
Muḥammad aẓ-Ẓawāhirī is Ayman aẓ-Ẓawāhirī’s younger brother. In 1981 Muḥammad was indicted in absentia for the assassination of Egyptian President Anwar as-Sādāt after Ayman implicated him in recruiting members to Tanẓīm al-Jihād while living in Saudi Arabia. He was found not guilty. He then lived in Yemen and then moved to Sudan in the 1990s to meet up with his brother and the al-Jihād organization. Following the expulsion of jihādīs in 1996, Muḥammad returned with his family to Yemen. He worked as an engineer contractor and traveled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) frequently for work. He was once again brought up on charges in absentia, this time in connection with the Returnees from Albania trial and he was convicted. As a result, he was arrested in the UAE in March or April 1999 and renditioned to Egypt. He was sentenced to death, but since then he has been held at the infamous Tora prison run by the Egyptian security services.
Here are a couple of other recent statements from Hānī al-Sibā’ī that relate to the recent prison releases:

علم مركز المقريزي من مصدر موثوق أن الشيخ المهندس محمد الظواهري (58 سنة) قد أعيد اعتقاله واقتياده إلى مكان مجهول اليوم السبت حوالى الساعة الحادية عشر مساءً بتاريخ 14 ربيع ثاني 1432هـ الموافق 19 مارس 2011م.

وقد أكد لنا في اتصال هاتفي الشيخ يحيى خلف أن كتيبة من قوات الأمن مدججة بالأسلحة قد حاصرت منزل الشيخ محمد الظواهري بمنطقة المعادي والشوارع المحيطة به واقتحمت المنزل بقسوة حيث لم تراع حرمة المنزل وروعت الأطفال والشيوخ والنساء ثم قامت باعتقال الشيخ محمد الظواهري من منزله بطريقة مهينة وغلظة وقسوة مع ذويه مع التهديد والوعيد إذا تم الاتصال بوسائل الإعلام!!

بناء على ما سبق

فإن مركز المقريزي يندد بهذه الممارسات الوحشية لأزلام النظام البائد الذي قيل لنا إن جهاز أمن الدولة قد تم حله!! إننا نندد بإعادة اعتقال الشيخ المهندس محمد الظواهري واقتياده إلى مكان مجهول! كما أن مركز المقريزي يؤكد أن هناك جهات مشبوهة مجرمة قد ساءها وأغاظها الافراج عن الشيخ محمد الظواهري وعودته إلى أبنائه وزوجته! وهذه الجهات بمثابة طابور خامس يتآمر على خيار رجالات وشباب الأمة! ولا نستبعد أن يكون التحالف الحاقد على الإسلام في مصر وغيرها قد ضغطوا على المجلس الأعلى للقوات المسلحة ومن ثم قامت قوات أمن الدولة وقوات مكافحة الإسلام التابعة لوزارة الداخلية بتنفيذ هذا المخطط الإجرامي بغية إرضاء أعداء الإسلام!

لذلك فإننا في مركز المقريزي نقدم هذا الخبر هدية لكل الواهمين بعودة الخير على أيدي هذه العصابة الحاقدة المحاربة للإسلام في أرض مصر! كما أننا لا زلنا نكرر أن هذه الثورة المصرية مختطفة وأن فلول الطاغية المخلوع لا يزالون يعيثون في الأرض فسادا! والله من ورائهم!

ينشر مركز المقريزي أسماء المفرج عنهم اليوم الخميس بتاريخ 12 ربيع ثاني 1432هـ الموافق 17 مارس 2011م وأشهر هذه الأسماء الشيخ المهندس محمد الظواهري الذي كان ينتظر تنفيذ حكم الاعدام الصادر ضده من المحكمة العسكرية في قضية “العائدون من ألبانيا” في 18 إبريل 1999م.. و الشيخ محمد الظواهري شقيق الدكتور أيمن الظوهري كان متهماً في قضية الجهاد الكبرى 462 لسنة 1981م وحكم عليه غيابيا ثم بعد عدة سنوات خطف من دولة الإمارات سنة 1997م ويعتبر من أشد المناوئين لتراجعات الدكتور سيد إمام والجماعة الإسلامية؛ تلكم التراجعات التي كانت تتم بإشراف وتخطيط مباحث أمن الدولة المنحل!! فثبته الله تعالى وكان لخروجه آية من آيات الله ودرس للمتراجعين عن الحق فقد خرج الشيخ محمد الظواهري ونجاه الله من أشفار الموت بفضله وحده من حيث لا يحتسب هو ولا أشد الناس تفاؤلاً!! ومن أشهر الأسماء الثابتة على الحق الشيخ المهندس محمد عبد الرحيم الشرقاوي الشهير أبي عبد الرحمن الإلكتروني! وكان قد رحل عام 1995م رحل من باكستان رغم أنه حاصل على الجنسية الباكستانية ومتزوج من سيدة باكستانية وكان من المفترض أن يفرج عنه منذ سنوات حيث لم يقدم أي محاكمة ولكن لأنه رفض تراجعات أمن الدولة فتم التضييق عليه ونفي إلى سجن الوادي الجديد حتى أفرج عنه اليوم بفضل الله وحده.

وفي اتصال لنا مع الشيخ يحيى خلف أكد صحة الأنباء وأملى علينا أسماء المفرج عنهم على النحو التالي:

أولاً: أسماء المفرج عنهم من سجن العقرب بمنطقة طره:

(1) الشيخ المهندس محمد ربيع الظواهري.

(2) محمد محمود حسين السيد.

ثانياً: أسماء المفرج عنهم من سجن الوادي الجديد:

فإن مركز المقريزي يحمد الله على الافراج عن هؤلاء الشباب والشيوخ المظلومين ونسأل الله تعالى أن يجعل ما تعرضوا له من سجن وتعذيب وأحكام جائرة في ميزان حسناتهم يوم القيامة..

كما يؤكد مركز المقريزي أنه لا يزال هناك مظلومون من أبناء الحركات الإسلامية مغيبين في السجون المصرية؛ وعلى رأسهم الشيخ نبيل المغربي الذي ناهز السبعين من عمره والشيخ أحمد سلامة والشيخ فتحي صابر والشيخ عادل عوض شحتو والشيخ أحمد عشوش والشيخ مرجان سالم وغيرهم.. لذلك فإننا نطالب بإطلاق سراح جميع المظلومين في السجون المصرية وتكريمهم وتعويضهم وعوائلهم عن كل يوم قضوه في غيابات سجون نظام الطاغية المخلوع.

New statement from Zabīhullah Mujāhid of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Clarification Regarding the Recent Assertions of the American General Petreaus"

General David Petraeus, top commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan, has returned to Washington to find answer to questions and growing resentments of American people and Congress regarding the War of Afghanistan.
According to an opinion poll published recently in The Washington Post, a famous American daily, about two third of Americans have no confidence in the war of Afghanistan, considering it a fruitless mission. Similarly, hot debates are in full swing in the American Congress about the war expenditure in Afghanistan– reaching to the tune of billions of dollars.
Congressmen like the American people want to know, do these fruitless efforts deserve the huge expenditure? General Petraeus, who is in charge of the war in Afghanistan, tried at the premises of the American Congress the other day during a hearing to give the Congressmen a spurious optimism. He said, though the Americans have been hearing about setbacks but there are some gains in the war of Afghanistan. These gains must be protected. General Petraeus emphasized on this point both during meeting with the American President Obama and American media, saying there were tangible advancements in the war. May be, he was pointing to operations by the American troops in some areas in south Afghanistan in the past recent months. We would like to say about the remarks of Petraeus that he is trying once again to give deceptive assurances to American people about the war of Afghanistan and quid pro quo, get some time and money for further prolongation of the war. However, if we look at the ground realities in the country, there is nothing to be called gains of the American troops. Not only they are losing the rural areas but also have become targets of effective attacks of Mujahideen in cities.
In the near past, the operation of Kandahar was one of the greatest ever carried out by the Americans. The Americans had had huge casualties being unprecedented in terms of loss. They are still smarting from their casualties. Though, the Americans destroyed whole villages and vineyards of people in some areas of Kandahar and afterward, built military bases there. Despite that, they were not able to wipe out the writ of Mujahideen. The Mujahideen are present in the areas and have blocked all ways and roads leading to the American bases. With the passage of every day, they lay further blockades to the invaders.

Another project of Pettaeus was the training of the Afghan hireling forces to rely on themselves in terms of quality and quantity. This is also a failed effort. High ranking officials of the Kabul regime openly complain that no progress has been made in the way of boosting the hireling Afghan forces, and even it is not expected that the target could be achieved during the next five years, to put the forces in a position to defend themselves on their own.
The common Afghans have rejected the Arbaki program launched by General Petraeus. However, it is operational in a few areas, that too, with a very low capability. Contrarily, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate enjoy a high morale and warfare spirit. The Mujahideen continued their military operations successfully in this winter, and did not let the enemy to take a breath of relief. Moreover, the martyrdom-seeking Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate have carried out effective attacks against the enemy in various parts of the country, sending a jittery through the ranks of the enemy.
The Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate continue their armed Jihad against the enemy, enjoying a high morale. They have the initiative of the battle in their hands, being always in the aggressive position while the enemy is retreating from or evacuating their bases in many areas in the country as the have withdrawn from Pech Valley. Thus they flee the areas.
I would like to point out my opinion about the assertions of Petraeus. Let’s sum up the results and the losses. The Americans had launched one of their greatest operations in Gerisk district of Helmand province. It continued for one month. According to a survey conducted by Mujahideen, the Americans lost 54 tanks and armed vehicles as a result of road side bombs and attacks. But after the end of the operation, the situation did not change. The status quo is the same as before. The Americans went back to their bases after suffering huge casualties and losses. The Mujahideen are in control of the area. The same is the fate of other operations conducted by the forces of General Petraeus. It is very surprising that despite that, the general tauts these failures as military gains.
Like the American people, two-third of whom believe this war is fruitless war, the Islamic Emirate too believes that the current war of Afghanistan will bring in nothing for the Americans except defeat. We have faith in our God and believe, this legitimate Jihad of the Afghan people will ultimately result in the complete rout of the invaders. The surge and prolongation of the war will only add to financial loss and military casualties of America. Nothing more than that, if God willing.

NOTE: It appears that al-Qā’idah is trying to personalize ‘Aṭīyyatullah’s message by releasing this statement with his actual name Shaykh Jamāl Ibrāhīm Ishtīwī al-Miṣrāti showing that he is from Miṣrātah a city in northwest Libya. Miṣrātah is the third largest city in Libya and is currently being occupied by the Libyan regime.

Abū Muṣ’ab ‘Abd al-Wadūd — “Support for the Free, Descendants of ‘Umar al-Mukhtār”

NOTE: Last time we heard from AQIM they also invoked the name of Libyan national hero ‘Umar al-Mukhtār, which you can read here.
‘Umar al-Mukhtār is an important figure in Libyan history. He was a teacher of the Qur’ān by profession. Additionally, he was skilled in the strategies and tactics of desert warfare. As a result, he was a leading figure and led the Libyan resistance against the Italian fascists — who invaded Libya — from 1912 until his death when the Italians hung him in 1931. His heroic efforts were later depicted in the 1981 film The Lion of the Desert. The film was banned in Italy in 1982 and was not shown on Italian TV until 2009.
There is still no known evidence of AQIM being involved with the Libyan rebel movement.
