New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Aghanistan’s Zabīh Allah Mujāhid: “Remarks Concerning Ongoing Talks in Qatar”

Amid the ongoing talks between the negotiation teams of Islamic Emirate and United States in the Qatari capital of Doha, extensive discussions were held about the method of foreign troops withdrawal from Tuesday till Wednesday noon and from that time onwards, discussion revolved around preventing Afghanistan from being used against others. The meetings ended last night as both negotiation teams agreed to take a break today and tomorrow for consultations and preparation for the third meeting which shall be held on Saturday.

Meanwhile the Political Deputy of Islamic Emirate, the respected Mullah Baradar Akhund, met with the deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Abdul Rahman al-Thani, National Security Advisor Muhammad al-Masnad, US State Department’s Special Representative Zalmay Khalilzad and commander of occupying forces in Afghanistan Scott Miller. The meetings focused on discussions about the ongoing negotiations process and withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan. Respected Mullah Baradar Akhund clarified the policy of Islamic Emirate regarding foreign forces withdrawal and changing situation of Afghanistan while emphasizing our committed to the current peace process along with peace and establishment of an Islamic system in Afghanistan.

On Monday (today) the 20th of Jamadi-ul-Thani 1440 Hijri Lunar corresponding with 25th February 2019, the Deputy of Islamic Emirate in Political Affairs, the respected Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar participated in the negotiation process meetings held in the Qatari capital of Doha and introduced members of the negotiation team of Islamic Emirate to the participants.

The meeting between the United States and the Islamic Emirate commenced on the first day of the fifth round of talks of the negotiations process in Qatar.

The respected Mullah Baradar Akhund arrived to the meeting yesterday on the 24th February after a formal invitation by the Foreign Minister of Qatar and in a private airplane sent by the said country where he was warmly received by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and members of the Political Office of Islamic Emirate.

The respected Mullah Baradar Akhund participated in the negotiation meeting today and following the introduction of the negotiation team, he elucidated upon the importance of negotiations, authority of the negotiation team and the future roadmap.

It should be mentioned that the negotiations process will be advanced by Al Haj Sher Muhammad Abbas Stanekzai, the head of negotiation team of Islamic Emirate, and guidance will be sought from the respected Mullah Baradar Akhund when necessary.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Qārī’ Muḥammad Yūsuf Aḥmadī: “Remarks Regarding The Civilian Casualty Report By UNAMA”

The United Nations mission to Afghanistan (UNAMA) has once against published a tendentious report about civilian casualties.

This report states that civilian casualties have increased this year compared to the years past and once again attributed 37% of the casualties to Mujahideen without any proof or justification.

We reject this biased report by UNAMA. It is very unfortunate that a number of human right organizations including UNAMA dealt with the humanitarian issue of civilian casualties in the framework of American interests.

The entire Afghan nation is a witness that the American invaders, by their own admission, have dropped over 7000 bombs against the Afghans over the course of last year and have carried out two to five raids on civilian sites every night, causing unprecedented amount of civilian losses.

If we were to assume that each bomb dropped has a weight of 20 kilograms then the Americans would have dropped 140000 kilograms of explosives on civilian homes, villages, bazaars, mosques, clinics and other public places.

Turning a blind eye to such extensive savagery and still attributing 37% of civilian casualties to Mujahideen clearly displays that this report is compromised and is given to the media as raw propaganda material through the tribunal of UNAMA.

The Islamic Emirate considers such unjustifiable reports by UNAMA as abuse of a sensitive humanitarian issue of civilian casualties and considers such actions a violation to all the principles of the United Nations and against the founding spirit of this organization.

Eighty three percent of all civilian casualties occur in the blind US bombardments, raids on civilian homes, use of heavy weaponry by Kabul administration troops and unaccountable actions of Arbaki militiamen, all of which are witnessed by the Afghan nation.

Mujahideen take their utmost care when dealing with civilian lives and UNAMA cannot present any such instance where the Mujahideen have intentionally caused such a large percent of civilian casualties.

A number of media outlets have again begun a propaganda campaign regarding negotiations process with the United States.

Reuters news agency again tried to spread propaganda against the Islamic Emirate by publishing a report listing reasons for non-participation by the deputy of Islamic Emirate Al Haj Mullah Baradar Akhund in the upcoming Qatar meeting.

Reuters news agency had also previously published propaganda by a number of their biased journalists that were later proven as fabrications and seriously damaging to the reputation of Reuters.

This time around Reuters quoted unknown sources as saying that the reason for non-participation by Al Haj Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar is due to disagreement among the ranks of Islamic Emirate about him.

We strongly reject this propaganda.

A meeting will take place between the negotiation team of Islamic Emirate and US representatives in Qatar and Allah willing, it will prove positive.

However, the respected Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar will not participate in the meeting because he announced a negotiations team, introduced its leader and members and authorized it to carry out negotiations with the United States.

Since Al Haj Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar is the Deputy of the Islamic Emirate in Political Affairs and there was an absence of his peer in the US team hence no need was seen for Mullah Baradar Akhund to participate in the meeting.

All other rumors in this regard are baseless reports that only seek to confuse common thought and should not be given any worth.

The head of United States Central Command General Joseph Votel, while talking to the media yesterday made propaganda claims that Daesh in Afghanistan is a major threat and has acquired the capability of directly attacking America from Afghanistan.

Exaggerating threat of Daesh miscreants and utilizing it for media propaganda in order to prolong the invasion of Afghanistan is the duty of many American generals. Instead of assessing the real nature of dispute of Afghanistan, they continue to repeat their previous mistakes of classifying Afghanistan as a major threat to America.

American generals, despite their failure in numerous war tactics during past eighteen years and bringing international and historical shame upon America, still emphasizes on extension of war through use of such rumors to protect the interests of their war mafias and to continue selling weapons.

The Islamic Emirate categorically rejects claims of the American general. Afghanistan neither poses threat to any one nor will the Afghan nation allow such doings. Daesh militant group is restricted to a small area of Afghanistan in spite of full support of American air force, is under the siege and attacks of Muajhideen and will soon be eradicated.

American invaders have consistently supported Daesh by bombarding the Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate, providing air escort to under siege personnel of Daesh and by raiding prisons of Islamic Emirate to free Daesh captives.

American generals, by exaggerating the threat of Daesh miscreants, seek to stoke anxieties of regional countries and spread fear in the American public that are against the US presence in Afghanistan and want to see its end.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: “Concerning the Burning and Destruction of a Major Madrassa in Kapisa”

It is with great sadness to have learnt that a historical and famous Madrassa (religious seminary) in Badrab area of Tagab district, Kapisa province, named Miya Gul Jan Madrassa that was active for over a century now was burnt and destroyed by a joint overnight raid of American invaders and their domestic allies.

This savage attack targeted a religious seminary and center of knowledge that had provided religious services to thousands of scholars around the country over the course of a century.

Attacks by the American invaders and their hirelings against religious Madrassas and their destruction clearly displays that these people are not solely the enemies of our homeland and sovereignty rather they want to uproot our religion, destroy centers of learning for righteous scholars and open the way for the extension of their despicable occupation.

But the American invaders are still oblivious to the fact that the communist block of yesterday was defeated in this land precisely because they tried to eliminate the religious values and sanctities of this nation and impose upon them the heretical ideology of communism.

The Islamic Emirate considers this barbaric action by the American invaders of targeting a religious foundation as an attack against Islamic, academic and spiritual values, condemns it in the strongest of words and vows to avenge this aggression of the invaders while also reminding their domestic hirelings of the heavy price for this crime.

Moreover, it calls on the nation, independent international organizations and the media that just as the protection of schools and universities in support of knowledge and education is important, it is also our shared religious and national responsibility to collectively defend our mosques and Madrassas.

The Islamic Emirate also orders its Mujahideen to prepare heavy and large-scale attacks against the sensitive intelligence centers and planning nests of evil of the invaders and their lackeys in revenge for this crime.
