On 28 February, IS published its al-Naba newsletter no. 171, which featured an article titled “The fate of Sirte is not the fate Derna.” The article is critical of the al-Qaeda aligned groups who occupied Derna along with IS till the latter was expelled from the city in July 2015.
On 26 February, al-Qaeda affiliated armed groups mobilized 130km east of Misrata according to Libyan National Army (LNA) spokesperson, Ahmed al-Mesmari. Amid the unrelenting cycle of war crimes and savagery, American invaders carried out six drone strikes on civilians in Garhoch area of Badpash district, Laghman province.
All six drone strikes were indiscriminate and aimed at civilian targets from which 11 innocent civilian countrymen including 5 women were martyred.
In another criminal act, the American invaders and their domestic mercenaries carried out an overnight raid on Gandomak area of Sherzad district, Nangarhar province.
The enemy forced their way inside homes by destroying gates with explosives and stole valuables from homes.
They enemy later bombed the area as well which resulted in 5 homes destroyed and 2 villagers martyred.
This barbarity and crime is taking place a day after the enemy attacked and destroyed tens of civilian homes in various areas of Faryab province’s Gurzewan district, displacing and destroying the shelter of our innocent oppressed countrymen in this bitterly cold season.
