New video message from The Islamic State: “Strike [Their] Necks – Wilāyat al-‘Irāq”

The title of this release is in reference to Qur’anic verse 47:4. Here it is in full: “So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if God had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of God – never will He waste their deeds.”

New release from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Dhabīḥ Allah Mujāhid: “Remarks Regarding Declaration Of War By Ashraf Ghani”

The Islamic Emirate strongly condemns attacks by Daesh militias that targeted civilians in Dashti Barchi area of Kabul city and Khewa district of Nangarhar province.

But we must remember that it is due to the decisive operations of the Islamic Emirate that there remains no known Daesh strongholds in any part of Afghanistan. Such attacks are jointly planned and executed from guesthouses in Kabul and other cities by Daesh members and the Kabul administration intelligence in order to batter the nation, provide a space for the implementation of failed policies and to take anti-Islam and anti-peace steps.

From the day the agreement was signed between the Islamic Emirate and the United States and endorsed by national and international parties, the Ashraf Ghani administration has been trying to create hurdles for the peace process.

From deliberately delaying the prisoner release process which was both an important step for agreement implementation and launch of intra-Afghan negotiations and could have safeguarded the lives of thousands of prisoners from the current threat of coronavirus, to the current declaration of offensive operations against the Islamic Emirate — all clearly show that Ashraf Ghani is seeking to extend his rule in the shadow of war.

The military formations of the Islamic Emirate are fully prepared to counter all enemy movements and offensives and to robustly defend its people and battlefronts.

The reason for even the current clashes which have taken place in some areas is due to the Kabul administration troops trying to take new areas or constructing new check posts and outposts.

From now onwards the responsibility of further escalation of violence and its ramifications shall fall squarely on the shoulders of the Kabul administration as the Islamic Emirate, all praise belong to Allah, possesses both the capacity and preparedness for all situations.
