New Statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Mujāhidīn Control Seven Districts in Balkh Province and the Main Road to Shubarghān"

Balkh is amongst one of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces and is considered as one of the most important provinces in the North of the country. Its capital is Mazar Sharif which is one of the country’s major cities. It is approximately 12,593 square kilometers and has a population of about 650000 or more according to a recent survey. Balkh province has been divided into 15 districts as shown below:
1.       Mazar Sharif                                       2.Dahdady
3.       Nahr-e-Shahi                                     4. Marmal
5.       Khlam (tashqalghan)                      6. Keldar
7.       Shor Tipa                                             8. Dawlatbad
9.       Balkh                                                     10. Charbolak
11.   Chamtal                                               12. Sholgira
13.   Charkant                                              14. Kashinda
15.   Zari
Balkh is regarded as one of Afghanistan’s most historical and cultural cities and moreover it was one of the strongholds of Mujahideen is the last Jihad and is also a trench of Mujahideen in the current jihad.
A brief biography of Balkh provinces Jihadi leader
Mullah Abdul Karim (Nafiz) is the son of Abdul Jabbar and was born into a religiously devout family 26 years ago today in Sholgari district of Balkh province. He conducted his elementary studies in his home town and then furthered his religious studies in the different provinces of Afghanistan. He was also a friend of the Martyred Mullah Raz Muhammad Haidari the previous leader of this province and along with him has carried out Jihadic services in Balkh, Kandahar, Helmand and Zabul provinces and is presently the head Jihadi leader of Balkh province.
Alemrah Studio: Dear Nafiz Sahib, before everything else, can you shed some light on the current year Jihadic situation of Balkh province?
Mullah Abdul Karim: All praises are due to Allah and may his peace and blessings be on Muhammad (SAW) and his rightly guided companions.
To answer your question, I must firstly say that Alhamdulillah, this year was the year of honor, victory and help from Allah in accordance with the name of this year’s operation ‘Al-Fath’ as declared by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. We witnessed the evident manifestation of Mujahideen victories in Balkh and the rest of the Northern provinces. I would like to mention that even though we had Mujahideen groups operating in all the district’s but our sphere of influence and controlled was restricted to 4 district’s which were Balkh, Chabolak, Chamtal and Sholgira. During this year we extended our reach and took control of other districts like Kashinda, Nahr-e-Shahi and also Keldar and other surrounding areas. We have also had great achievements in the other districts as well. The main highway between Balkh-Shubarghan which passes through Charbolak is always bearing witness to the constant ambushes of our Mujahideen which has become a major obstacle for the enemy logistical supply rout. We were able to neutralize the enemy conspiracies by completely shutting down all the polling stations in 6 districts on Election Day. We also took out more than 15 enemy centers in which the enemy took on heavy losses from the resulting clashes. So overall the situation of Balkh province is very promising, all thanks are due to Allah. Groups of Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate have also been sent to all the district’s where the enemy forces are facing a lot of difficulties.
Alemrah Studio: Is the presence of foreign troops in Balkh still limited to the center or have they spread out to the districts?
Mullah Abdul Karim: Like other northern provinces, the occupying forces based in Balkh are German, Norway, Bulgaria and other countries and are based in the provincial center, Mazar Sharif. The invading forces do go out to the surrounding districts for operations but have not built any outposts there.
Alemrah Studio: Kabul regimes Ministry of Defense as well as the governor of Balkh province in the press recently claimed that their operations in Mujahideen dominated areas have yielded great results and achievements; can you provide some information regarding this issue?
Mullah Abdul Karim: It is true that the domestic and foreign troops were recently gathered from surrounding provinces to carry out operations against Mujahideen in Balkh province because the Kabul regime’s Ministry of Defense announced its intentions to carryout operation in the Northern provinces such as those being carried out in Kandahar and Helmand. Almost 5000 international and domestic troops supported by airpower entered Chamtal and Charbolak districts but faced stiff Mujahideen resistance from the very first day. Their tanks were blown apart in bombings and their foot patrols were also relentlessly ambushed. The enemy only had presence in Charbolak’s Darzankar, Timorak and Khanabad areas and in Chamtal’s Tarako and Hotako villages before fleeing from all the areas due to the deadly casualties and damages caused by the ferocity of Mujahideen attacks. All praises are due to Allah, Mujahideen did not have any significant losses but the enemy took on heavy losses compared to any other time and fled, disgraced and humiliated.
Alemrah Studio: How much of the region do the Mujahideen control in Balkh?
Mullah Abdul Karim: As I pointed out earlier, Mujahideen have complete control of 7 districts but not the district centers and the enemy only controls those areas which are in close proximity to Mazar Sharif however Mujahideen are active in those areas too. The enemy forces are facing a tough time as Balkh-Shubarghan main highway, the main supply rout of the enemy runs through Mujahideen controlled regions where they constantly ambush the enemy logistical convoys.
Alemrah Studio: One of the new programs of the enemy is that of creating Arbaki (militia) forces in the Northern provinces. Has this development taken place in Balkh and what has been its result?
Mullah Abdul Karim: The only district in Balkh province where an effort was made by the enemy to create militia force was Charbolak, were its Muslim population vehemently rejected this proposal with a united voice and said that they had experienced these militias before and are not ready to repeat the same mistake. With this disappointment, the enemy armed 2 previous gunmen commanders (one from Masood’s and another from Dustam’s party) along with some former thieves and robbers in Charbolak district where they have set up a few check posts but have so far not been able to harm any Mujahideen. This failed program has only been tried in Charbolak district which has resulted in hatred for the government by local population because of the re-armament of previous criminals who recently, as per their previous behavior stole the valuables from homes which were located near their check posts during searches.
Alemrah Studio: How much support and cooperation do the Mujahideen have from the people of Balkh province?
Mullah Abdul Karim: The Mujahid people of Balkh, just as they had previously, are standing shoulder to shoulder and are fully cooperating with the Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate. Despite the repeated efforts by the enemy to sow seeds of division and create local militias to strain the relationship between Mujahideen and local populace but due to the nation’s understanding the nature and plans of the enemy through the years seem to have foiled these plans. The reason that Mujahideen are mobile and carry operations through the different districts of Balkh province is directly the result of the support of the people and we thank Allah Almighty for this situation.
Alemrah Studio: How would you describe your relationship with the other Jihad areas in the Northern provinces?
Mullah Abdul Karim: We are always in contact with our neighboring Juzjan province. Faizabad district is one of the districts in Juzjan which has a border with Balkh province and is in complete control of Mujahideen and so we lend each other a helping hand during rough times. All praises are due to Allah, Mujahideen in the Northern provinces are also in direct contact with each other like the rest of the country. Balkh, Juzjan, Faryab and Sar-e-Pul have regions which are in full Mujahideen control and they regularly carry out joint operations. There are vast regions under Mujahideen control from Balkh’s Sholgari and Charbolk to Juzjan’s Faizabad, Shortipa, Darzab and Faryab’s Dawlatabad and Sar-e-Puls Sayad districts are linked to each other. So due to this blessing, Mujahideen are able to coordinate and plan their operations with assurance and take advice from experiences of each other.
Alemrah Studio: The enemy is constantly making efforts and is spreading rumors that it will oust Mujahideen from Northern districts. What do you believe regarding this?
Mullah Abdul Karim: We have believed in Allah Almighty and started the Jihad here only by trusting in his power. In the beginning there were only a handful of Mujahideen carrying out guerilla style attacks in Balkh but never did we lose faith in Allah’s support and we have witnessed his help arrive in the past couple of years and are

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Response in Reaction to Senator Lindsay Graham Remarks to Maintain U.S. Permanent Bases in Afghanistan"

A Republic Senator Lindsey Graham in an interview t with NBC Television has said that USA should maintain permanent military bases in Afghanistan. He has claimed,  the bases would be beneficial for the region and in the combat against the Taliban.
His remarks definitely lifts the curtain from the colonialist motives of America which the Islamic Emirate has been trying in the past decade to draw to them,  attention of the people of the world.  In fact, the invading America wants to establish her dominance over the region and the world under the so-called war on terror. Thus,  they are trying to deprive the masses from their inalienable rights.  In view of this, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan would like to spell out its response as follows:
1.       The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan categorically rejects the suggestion by the Republican senator.
America’s intention to maintain permanent bases in Afghanistan would mean extending the occupation indefinitely. This illegitimate step is never acceptable to any Islamist and patriotic Afghan. The Muslim people of Afghanistan and the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate will continue their struggle against the occupation and other ploys of America until and unless   Afghanistan wins its deserved place among the comity of nations as an independent country.
2.       The maintenance of permanent bases in Afghanistan by America will usher in law and order situation as well as social, cultural and economic problems for Afghanistan and the region. They will deprive the regional people of their natural economic and academic advancement. Current explosions at congested places in cities, mosques, religious seminaries and demonstrations are the ugly upshot  of the invading America’s plots. Therefore, neither the people of the region nor the freedom-loving Afghans will ever accept the permanent bases in Afghanistan.
3.       Remarks by high-ranking figures of the invading America elucidates the fact that the war on terror was a phony drama conceived and staged by Washington. Their real goal was to occupy Afghanistan and maintain domination over the region. The relevant facts crop up one by one with the passage of time. The Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate will continue their struggle against these conspiracies until they reach a victorious end.
4.       The invading America and her Allies have no capability to face the Mujahidee in a broad day light in view of their constant frustration during the decade-long showdown of muscles. They raid houses in the stillness of the night, killing innocent Afghans. Therefore, in this critical phase , we request all countries of the region and the world to grant due recognition to the struggle of the people of Afghanistan against colonialism and render all-sided moral and financial assistance with this movement because the current Jihad is, undoubtedly, a liberation struggle  for all freedom-loving humanity at regional and global level.
5.       The tempo of economic and industrial progress is going to shift from America and Europe to Asia in the near future. This economic impetus needs raw material. Hence, the invading America wants to bring under her belly the natural resources of Afghanistan, ostensibly, under the name of war on terrorism, thus intending to coerce regional countries to  agree to  the colonialist objectives and strings of America. Similarly, they  want to deprive the Afghan people of access to their natural resources and compel them live in poverty and misery.  Therefore, the Mujahid people of Afghanistan will never  allow the invading America to plunder their natural resources and  take their freedom.
6.       We are ready to enter into transparent bilateral agreements with other countries on the basis of national interests and economic profitability for the extraction of the said natural resources.
7.       The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is a responsible force. We assure all regional countries that we will maintain good relations with them in light of the lofty rules of ethics of Islam, following our obtaining independence. Meanwhile, we urge them not to be beguiled by America to give consent to establishment of American permanent bases in Afghanistan under the unjustified name of war on terror.
The Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate are neither exhausted nor have become weak in their legitimate struggle.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

New interview from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "An Interview With The Deputy Official For Jihadist Affairs In Badakhshan Province, al-Mawlavī Faḍl Aḥmed

NOTE: This interview is from of the Afghan Ṭālibān and unedited below.

Muharram 07, 1432 A.H, Tuesday, December 14, 2010

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Question: If you would be so gracious as to present a brief summary of your biography to the readers of al-Somood Magazine.

Answer: My name is Fadl Ahmed bin Abdul Samad from the village Khashak Nadi in the Kishim district of Badakhshan Province. I was born in the year 1384 AH in my village. I finished the early stage of my education in my village, and then I began to learn Shari’ah sciences, spending one year studying between my village and the district center at Kishim. I subsequently transferred abroad to Pakistan and spent eight years in different madrasas.

Upon the establishment of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan, I joined it, leaving my studies and working in various positions. When the madrasa “al-Jihad” was opened in Qandahar, I enrolled in it to finish my Shari’ah studies. After spending three years there, through the grace of Allah, I finished my studies and earned a graduation certificate.

Question: We would like you to present a brief picture of Badakhshan Province.

Answer: Badakhshan province is located in the northeast of Afghanistan. It is bounded by Tajikistan to the north. China is situated to the northeast and Pakistan to the southeast. Within Afghanistan, Takhar province borders it on the west, Nuristan and Panjshir to the southeast. The province has an area of 44, 059 square kilometers and a population of one and a half million people.

Badakhshan province has 27 districts: Tagab, Kishim, Tishkan, Darayim, Urgu, Mobarak, Jurm, Hamakan, Karan wa Manjan, Wakhan, Warduj, Shahada, Zeebak, Ishkashim, Shignan, Yaftali Sufla, Ragh, Raghstan, Bawan, Kuf, Mayama, Shiki, Nisi, Khawahan, Khash, Shahri Buzurg, Arghanj Khwah.

Question: What are the economic resources of the people of Badakhshan province?

Answer: The people of Badakhshan province are occupied in agriculture, grazing and raising livestock. After Allah Almighty they depend upon these resources for their livelihood. Because Badakhshan is far from the capital Kabul and surrounded by mountains it is poor in commercial means. The people of this province do not have a practiced hand in commerce.

Question: In what areas of Badakhshan are your Jihadist activities increasing?

Answer: As is well known, the people of Badakhshan sacrificed their blood and treasure during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan and spared no effort in driving out Soviet forces. After the Western occupation of Afghanistan, they took part in the struggle and continued their Jihad and sacrifices. All areas of Badakhshan have plunged into this battle and continue their sacrifices. The districts of Kishim, Warduj, Baharak and Urgu are among the districts where the battle is intensifying and Jihadist capabilities are increasing. The Mujahideen have been able to win great victories there.

Question: What about the cooperation of the people of Badakhshan in these battles?

Answer: The position of the people of Badakhshan towards the occupiers and their tail-hangers is crystal clear: they are completely ready to fight them and they harbor a ferocious hatred towards the occupiers and their henchmen. Some, who had been misled about the truth of the occupiers and their henchmen, fell into the trap laid by those seeking after power. They were paying no mind to the Mujahideen, but through the grace of Allah and then the efforts of the officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, they came to fully comprehend the truth and became ardent supporters of the Mujahideen. Indeed they announced their complete readiness to cooperate with the Jihad, telling the Mujahideen that they will supply them with all that they need of food and other material and that the Mujahideen must fight the enemies of Religion.

Question: What are the steps you are taking to illuminate the minds of the people of Badakhshan and inform them of the goals of the Jihad in Afghanistan?

Answer: Informing the people of the goals of the Jihad in Afghanistan and educating them on this Path is the core of our Jihad. We must take positive steps on this course and, praise be to Allah, we have strived as much as we can in this Path. We have conducted dialogues with scholars and some people who enjoy a great amount of trust among the people of Badakhshan to remove the chain of lying claims which the Westerners and their henchmen were circulating. Through the grace of Allah Almighty, we were able to remove doubts about the Islamic Emirate which were stuck in the minds of the people. Their doubts have been erased and they have come to defend the Emirate and declare that they stand by it and will defend it.

Question: As you know, Badakhshan is located far away from the southern and central provinces. Do you encounter any problems in obtaining military resources?

Answer: No doubt we in Badakhshan province face some problems in this regard as compared with the rest of the provinces. The province is remote and the economic resources of the people are weak and the roads used for transporting weapons are not serviceable. With all those problems, the people of Badakhshan province know the goals which the Islamic Emirate is trying to achieve, and they have come to take care of the Mujahideen. Undoubtedly the solicitude they have shown has solved some of the problems from which we suffer.

Question: Since the launch of Operation al-Fatah until now, how many military operations have you conducted against the bases of the Crusaders and their henchmen?

Answer: The zealous Mujahideen of Badakhshan have conducted more than 28 military operations in different areas of Badakhshan. During these operations they have killed more than 25 Germans, destroyed tanks and a patrol car. More than 35 henchmen have been killed during these heroic operations which the Mujahideen conducted. I mention for example the al-Fatah operation in the districts of Khishim and Kuf.

There is no doubt that the operation in conquering the districts of Badakhshan is a difficult matter but, through the grace of Allah Almighty the Mujahideen have through their great zeal and sincere determination conducted these operations successfully and overcome all difficulties.

Question: It is said that foreign establishments under the name of “presenting services and assistance” spread Crusader ideology among the people of Badakhshan province. What is the truth of what is said about this despicable activity?

Answer: This is a given. The goal of the Westerners is to raise a generation of people working on their behalf in Afghanistan. They spare no effort in achieving this goal.

Yes, in Badakhshan, as you mentioned, there are charitable organizations in name that work in the cellars spreading their ideas among the people. Through the grace of Allah Almighty, however, the zealous people of Badakhshan monitor the activities of these suspicious organizations and do not allow them their desired resources. You may know about the Agha Khan foundation in the Baharak district which for years has conducted activity like this. The people of the district learned about this vile activity and, under the leadership of the Mujahideen and the scholars, conducted protests and took to the streets, burning the foundation to the ground and killing some of its employees. Two Mujahideen were martyred in these protests, may Allah accept them, and three were injured but in the end this foundation was ejected from the region. Similar foundations to this operate but through the grace of Allah Almighty, they have not been able to achieve anything meaningful.

Question: What is your message to the noble people of Badakhshan?

Answer: My message to the people of Badakhshan who believe in Allah and the Mujahideen in His Cause is: know that the infidels of all sects and creeds have gathered and united to strike the Muslim Ummah. They have attacked our homes and wish to achieve their vile goals by any means such as democratic rule or toppling the Islamic regime in our lands. We must understand all of this and place all of our differences to the side. For the sake of Allah and the message of Islam, in defense of our Islamic values and in defense of our Islamic lands, and to expel the Western occupiers and their henchmen, we must stand by the side of the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate and cooperate with them, support them and revive the history of zealous forefathers and not be duped by the propaganda of those who seek status and worldly wealth.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Poor Aisha or a patsy in US political ploys and propaganda machine"

NOTE: This message is from ‘Abd ur-Raū’f Ḥikmat of the Afghan Ṭālibān and unedited below.

So far, no independent investigations and research have been conducted concerning Aisha’s case, whose face was on the front cover of the Time in July, hailing from Uruzgan province of Afghanistan whose nose and ears are said to have been cut off by her in-laws, and the fact that how the very issue has been raised and why her case has drawn a lot of controversies.
What Aisha’s Father told media during a recent interview has surfaced stunning facts exposing the true face of the anti-Islamic and self-interested US and its role in Aisha’s fake case. Aisha’s Father questioned the US’ humanitarian assistance and asserted the return of his daughter kidnapped by the US invaders from his house so in order that he leads an honorable life in the society.
The recent facts surfaced, on the one hand, unveil how brazenly and one-sidedly the mainstream media outlets such as New York Times magazine, New York Times newspaper, CNN, BBC and so on, have pinned the said fake case on Mujahideen; on the other hand, lift the lid off the main role of the invading forces played in Aisha’s case, as was clearly stated by Aisha’s father that the US forces had been involved.
To put it bluntly, there is enough evidence to prove that this was faked by the world media in order to blame it on Mujahideen, as usual, so that they might have deviated the minds of the naive masses and fooled them yet again.
The sequence of the events, if observed, the issue (Aisha’s case) has exactly raised among the world media when US-led coalitions under the leadership of Obama saw no possible further justification for prolongation of Afghan war and extension of their military missions on the ground in Afghanistan, consequently poor Aisah, the honor of Afghan was compromised with the time magazine covering Aisha’s heart-breaking photo and tragic story followed by the other media outlets including CNN, which gave the issue a tremendous coverage so that it would apply a sort of emotional blackmail and exploit anti-war minds, meantime, paving the ways for the continuous US military involvement.
Now that the US involvement in the case is crystal clear, further inquiries should be conducted to find out the fact that to what extent the US is dishonest and brutal to the helpless Afghan masses and to what length the US can go to betray the Afghan nation; furthermore, the Afghans should not stay indifferent to poor and oppressed Aisha who fell victim to US ploy and strategy.
With whatever possible means they have at their disposal, the Afghans have to demand a clarification and explanation from the US and their puppets and her return as her father does.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "The Negotiation Ploy Boomerangs On The Enemy"

NOTE: This message is from the Afghan Ṭālibān and unedited below.

Zilhajj 27, 1431 A.H, Saturday, December 04, 2010
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
The esteemed Amir-ul-Mumineen, Mullah Muhammad Omar Mujahid, in his Eid ul Adha message, re-affirmed the stance of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan regarding talks with the puppet Kabul regime and the American invaders.
He made it clear that the solution of the Afghan issues lies only in full withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan. The recent developments as regards our country show the far-sightedness of the Amir-ul-momineen, by not responding to the war stratagem being launched by the enemy time and again under the name of peace talks overtures. With the passage of time, it becomes more and more exposed that the enemy is only trying to create rifts among the ranks of Mujahideen through their publishing false reports of peace talks with the senior officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
On 22nd Nov. 2010, the New York Times wrote: “the so called “high -ranking member of Taliban” was actually a lowly shop keeper from Quetta. He had introduced himself as Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour to the British Intelligence MI6; His credentials had been confirmed by US intelligence agencies. Then, he was flown by NATO to Kabul to meet with Hamid Karzai who gave him large amount of money. The man apparently had long talks with the M16 for several days before he was whisked away to Kabul. In fact, the enemy has no clear strategy for diplomatic solutions of the issue. Instead, they resort to some hypocritical tactics aimed at weakening the Mujahideen. A western writer writes: “But wait. If we did want to weaken Taliban resolve—and surely we do—and if individual Taliban leaders aren’t really sure what the others are doing, then even a fake Taliban talker might do the trick. Isn’t it possible the false Mansour served our interests–by putting the real Taliban leaders “on edge,” worried that some of their colleagues might be cracking? If the fake Mansour didn’t exist, it might be worth paying someone take the role, no?”
After flaunting its military surge and much publicized operations in Helmand and Kandahar, the enemy has realized that their increased military presence has actually backfired by inciting resistance to their presence even in areas that were relatively peaceful in the past. By their own admission, attacks on the foreign forces from April to October 2010 have increased by 300% compared to the same period in 2009. By the Grace of Allah, the Operation Al Fath (Operation Victory) has successfully been forging ahead. Next phase of the Mujahideen operations, as pointed out by the Commander of the Faithful, will deal dashing blows at the enemy, Inshallah.
In the recent Nato summit in Lisbon, the occupying Nato forces confirmed the end of 2014 as their final withdrawal date from Afghanistan. Since the invaders has proved unable to defeat then Mujahideen militarily (as they themselves admit), they are trying fatuously to create dissension and distrust among the ranks of Mujahideen by spreading the rumor of talks. After the 9/11 attacks on America, the United States did not bother to open a comprehensive and neutral investigation of the 9/11 event to find the real culprits but instead of presenting concrete evidence, the Americans simply said that the Afghans should give in to their demands or they will invade our country. Soon, they started a barbaric aerial bombardment of Afghanistan, without regard to any principle of International law. The Nato allies, repeating mistakes of past empires, considered Afghanistan as a weak nation that they could invade and utilize for their designs in the region.
After the fall of Kabul, the Amir ul Mumineen, Mullah Muhammad Mujahid, in an interview with BBC Radio had predicted that Afghanistan would prove as a graveyard of the American Empire. Today, the Americans have been in Afghanistan for more than nine years, the same length of time that the Soviets had been in Afghanistan, and they are in no better condition than the Soviets. Their puppet regime is weak and corrupt and holds no sway beyond Kabul. They have displaced hundreds of thousands of innocent Afghan civilians; tens of thousands of Afghans have fallen prey to the enemy’s indiscriminate bombing, and an even higher number have been wounded by them.
Their brazen lies about the ground realities have spiraled to such an extent that even their puppet President does not believe in them anymore. But most important of all, the myth of American supremacy has been shattered. America has been demoted from a supposedly “hyper-power” or “super-power” to just another regional power, unable to impose its will on other nations without the backing of other regional powers. The irony is that America was instigated into attacking Afghanistan by other regional powers, and Americas presence in the country served their interests more than it served America’s interests. And today, because of their military and political losses in Afghanistan, America does not have the strength and stomach to confront their real enemies. America’s invasion of Afghanistan will be judged as a unique moment in history when America abandoned its own principles of “Realpolitick” and decided to pull someone else’s chestnut out of the fire. The longer it stays in this fire, the more it will be burnt.

New statement from the Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Regarding the Usage of Poisonous Chemical Weapons in Afghanistan by the Invading Americans"

NOTE: This message is from the Afghan Ṭālibān and unedited below.

On the basis of evidence, the American invaders have used banned weapons like thermo baric and bunker buster bombs against defenseless civilian Afghans in various parts of
the country in the past few years under the pretext of eradicating Mujahideen. Many congenital deformities have occurred in infants in every part of the country as a result of the usage of the chemical weapons. Furthermore, the residents have been suffering from various diseases.
As a proof, we would like to refer to the following documents:
1. An Afghan investigative research scholar, Dr. Mohammad Daud Miraki conducted field research in the southern provinces of the country. He accumulated enough empirical evidence regarding the use of poisonous weapons in the area.
2. In 2002, a research team of Canadian Medical Research Center visited southern provinces of Afghanistan and found that the magnitude of uranium isotopes in the inhabitants was soaring between 300 and 2000 nanograms while the accepted limit is 10 nanograms.
3. The Al-alam TV website has posted a video report about newly-born infants suffering from deformities and abnormal body parts caused by the usage of biological weapons. See http:\www.alalam.ir/node/307570.
4. A Senior official of the Kabul Regime’s Ministry of Health told media some times ago that they had obtained evidences, indicating that the Americans had used depleted uranium munitions and phosphorus bombs in Tora bora in east Afghanistan in 2001. Deformed infants have been born in the area or some have deformed body parts or suffering from weightlessness or mental retardation. Diseases like leukemia( blood white cells disease) is widespread in the area. Sperms ” infertility” malfunction in males have been noticed. Many persons have died without an open wound.
All Americans military and civilian rulers are held responsible for these anti-human crimes. Ironically, still, the crimes have been continuing in Afghanistan at the hands of the invading Americans and their coalition forces, in a time that many human rights organizations including those of the United Nations and the Human Rights Watch have presence in the country.
To fulfill its responsibility, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan calls on all human rights organizations and other relevant entities, organizations and independent personalities to take steps, as a part of their responsibility, to impede those who are involved in human rights violations and bring them to human rights crimes tribunals. Moreover, speed up efforts aimed at disseminating awareness and unearthing more cases of crimes against humanity.

New interview from the Islamic Emirate Of Afghanistan: "An In-depth Interview With Hajjī Aḥmad Sa'īd, Head Of Operations In Kandahar City"

NOTE: This interview was conducted by the Afghan Ṭālibān’s media outlet al-Emara and unedited below.

Zilhajj 04, 1431 A.H, Thursday, November 11, 2010
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
The recent operations in the province of Kandahar, by the enemy I.S.A.F forces are viewed by the western-orientated media, as the last military push against the Mujahideen. The majority of them are of the opinion that should these operations fail as well; the Americans would have no other option but to leave Afghanistan.
The enemy admits, that the essential objective of this operation is to prevent the collapse of Kandahar city (which is Afghanistan’s second largest city) to the Mujahideen forces. To achieve this, the enemy, besides conducting operations in the districts surrounding Kandahar city, has now also started military operations in the city centre as well. To find out exactly what impact these operations have had on the Mujahideen forces, we talked to Haji Ahmad Saeed, who is in charge of Mujahideen military operations in Kandahar city. This detailed interview is presented below.
Alemarah: First of all, please give us some general information of the recent operations of the invading forces: what are some of the activities the invaders have undertaken?
Haji Ahmad Saeed: All Praise is to Allah, Kandahar city, which has in the past many years, bore witness to some of the Mujahideen’s greatest operations and bravery, has seen sustained attacks by Mujahideen warriors. These attacks have caused our internal and external enemies’ to panic, to the point of admitting that could very well fall to the banner of Islamic Emirate’s soldiers. Since then, the enemy has completely revised its strategy, focusing almost exclusively on Kandahar city and its surrounding regions. In line with this strategy, the enemy has increased its presence in the region considerably.
This increase has been witnessed in the city centre as well, where the enemy has increased its infantry and motorized battalions. They have also carried out large scale raids against civilian population by surrounding entire districts, then carrying out house to house searches for weapons and Mujahideen. They have also started operations in regions that are under Mujahideen control. They have infested the city centre with numerous foreign and army outposts, besides the normal police stations. They have set up more and more check points on the roads and increased their intelligence gathering spy-rings. All this has given Kandahar city the appearance of a city under siege.
The enemy has caused all this commotion and carried out these measures to stop our activities in the region but Alhamdulillah and again Alhamdulillah, as our recent operations in the heart of the city have shown, the enemy has utterly failed in this objective. Even the westerners’ own governmental and non-governmental agencies confirm our success by stating that Mujahideen activities in Kandahar, instead of decreasing, have increased by over twenty-four percent.
Alemarah: The enemy invaders claim that they have set up a belt our Kandahar city to choke the movements of Mujahideen into and out of the city. What information do you have regarding this?
Haji Ahmad Saeed: It is true that the enemy has set up various check points on the roads leading into the city and on the main highways and constructed some ten large army stations. One of these army posts is on the Panjwaee road near Kobai; another is one the way from Khanjakak towards Soop; another is on the Heart road near Seelo; another is on the Arghandab road near Mir Ahmad Khan’s Kalachi; one near Kotal, one on Shah Wali Kote road, on Kabul road near Ainoominy; on the Boldak road from Shurandam towards the city. They have also set up two new army posts on the roads leading from Mahlajat. All these outposts have some of the most high-tech detection and identification tools available to the west.
Yet despite this they have never captured any of our Mujahideen, nor detected any explosive-laden vehicle. Everyday our explosive filled vehicles pass over these army checkpoints and army posts without being detected or captured. This is all by the Grace of Allah who has favoured us in all opportunities. The enemy’s so called ‘belt’ has achieved no other purpose besides harassing the local populace. As you can see, our attacks on the city have increased rather than decrease. Therefore this belt is no impediment to the Mujahideen operations and its purpose has been inflated far beyond its capabilities.
Alemarah: How are Mujahideen’s operations inside Kandahar city?
Haji Ahmad Saeed: In the city, as of old, as soon as darkness spreads the stooge governments rule comes to an end, our battalions start their patrols and our operations begin. At night, we set up our ambushes on all the major roads, sealing the enemy inside their outposts. Due to our ambushes, now the enemy has accepted that they cannot provide support to their other outposts if and when they get attacked. Similarly, the Mujahideen always watch their activities during day time. Everyday enemy spies and soldiers are shot dead by our snipers. Several days ago, on the Kandahar bypass road, Mujahideen conducted searches of cargo trucks finding and subsequently burning those trucks carrying supplies to enemy soldiers. All this proves that the Mujahideen have the capabilities and willingness, to conduct operations in the city according to their own initiative, while the enemy has lost all morale and determination to fight.
Alemarah: It is said that since this new operation was launched, many innocent residents have gone missing, some of whom have subsequently been found and have reported to have been kidnapped by American and puppet government officers. What information do you have regarding this?
Haji Ahmad Saeed: It is true that the enemy has arrested many innocent people, the majority of whom are still suffering in prisons. These people have been arrested by government intelligence services as well as by various local militias. Many of them have been arrested due to personal or tribal rivalries. These incidents require a thorough investigation because many of these innocent arrestee’s have often been tortured to death without any legal process. These are all innocent Afghan civilians whose death should be investigated by all Afghan and global societies.
Alemarah: Enemy has been announcing recently that they have captured a large cache of weapons, explosives and mines from the Mujahideen. What is your information regarding this?
Haji Ahmad Saeed: This is yet another of the enemy’s baseless claims. We have not yet faced a situation where the Mujahideen’s weapons or mines have been captured due to the enemy’s intelligence gathering. However, it has sometimes happened that some of our mines have failed to explode due to some technical or electronic failure. These have subsequently fallen into enemy hands further inflating their egos.
Alemarah: The issue of civilian casualties is hotly debated in Kandahar. The enemy propaganda claims that civilians are often killed in Mujahideen operations. What do you have to say about this?
Haji Ahmad Saeed: I, as the head of Kandahar operations, feel very sensitive to this issue, first in front of Allah and then in front of our Afghan people. If we did not fear for causing harm to our own people then our operations in Kandahar would be ten times more than they are today. We have always tried our best to completely end any civilians casualties on our part. We often have had to cancel our operations when we fear the possibility of civilian casualties. On the other hand, the enemy always seeks to stay and move in our population centres so that if Mujahideen attack them, any resulting civilian damage would be blamed on the Mujahideen. As much as we want to attack the enemy, we know that they want to use our people as human shields for their protection and therefore we abstain from confronting them in these areas.
Alemarah: Partly as a result of the recent operations and partly due to the targeted killings of government workers, some people in Kandahar are beginning to think that these shootings and bombings are random and indiscriminate. For this reason these people are very fearful of the present situation. What is your message to these people
Haji Ahmad Saeed: I want to tell these people that if they are not government workers then they should be completely calm and relaxed. The operation in Kandahar are not random and spirit of the moment operations, instead each step is thoroughly planed and meticulously executed. The Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate first conduct thorough background research into their targets and when their relationship with the puppet government and their foreign paymasters is fully confirmed, do they proceed to punish these collaborators. Only once during my term has one of our Mujahids mistaken an innocent person (who fully resembled

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
Zhiri district is located to the south of Kandahar-Herat main highway and has been a solid base and under the control of Islamic Emirate Mujahideen for the past 9 years. Previously the invaders only had outposts on the main highway but due to the recent operations have expanded those to Pashmool and Sanzari areas. For recent information on the situation in the district, Alemarah interviewed the Military commander for this district, Mullah Ateequllah Agha.
Alemarah: Can you please give us information about the recent enemy operation and on the situation in the district?
Mullah Ateequllah Agha: As you might already know that Zhiri is known as the most hostile district for the enemy for the past 9 years and especially Sang-e-Sar and Pashmool areas where the enemy has not been able to take over and has proved very deadly for its forces. The southern parts of the districts have been completely under our control which the enemy has never even attempted to enter.
The enemy was real frustrated due to the constant attacks by Mujahideen on the main highway which immensely disrupted the movement of their military and logistical convoys and therefore started the huge push towards Sang-e-Sar, Pashmool and Sanzari areas by bringing hundreds of tanks, foot soldiers bombing the areas by Jets, cruise missiles etc. Due to their cruel and barbaric blind bombings, the residents of Pashmool and Sanzari have fled during a time when they were supposed to collect their harvests. Mujahideen countered their strategy by adopting guerilla warfare from which the enemy has suffered more damage than at any other time. You might have heard through the media of the tanks being blown up every day in Pashmool and Sanzari areas and the retaliatory ambushes and attacks against their foot patrols. Similarly the invaders arrested civilians after forcing their way into their homes at night.
So due to our resistance, the enemy has not gained any ground in some parts and in others where they have gains some ground, it has come after much suffering and deadly losses. Overall the enemy’s force is winded up, they have only added 2 outposts each in Pashmool and Sanzari areas and the Mujahideen numbers which were decreased for the initial enemy push have returned back to their normal levels.
Alemarah: How much new ground has the enemy gained from this operation?
Mullah Ateequllah Agha: The enemy has not gained an inch of territory in Sang-e-Sar, which is only 100 meters away from the main highway. They have gained some ground in Sanzari but after intense bombing and making headway by demolishing people’s homes, fields and other property. They also made ground towards the south of Pashmool up to Rod area but in all areas the advance has been short term because they have all returned to the 4 new outposts made in civilians homes and all their military equipment has also been vacated from the rest of the regions.
Alemarah: It is said that the enemy has severely bombed the areas bringing huge destruction to the civilians?
Mullah Ateequllah Agha: Like in the rest of Kandahar province, Zhiri has also experienced enormous destruction to civilian property from the barbaric enemy. Although the exact facts and figures have not been compiled but I will summarize some of the damage done that we have witnessed in a few points.
1. Nearly 80% of civilians have become homeless due to the ruthless bombings from cruise missiles, canon rounds and other types of bombs dropped in all of Zhiri from Kandahar airfield. The civilians have also suffered deaths and nearly all of the people’s homes and other property have been completely destroyed.
2. Hundreds of homes have been utterly demolished in the area between the main highway and Wyala of Sang-e-Sar as the enemy claims that their convoys and bases are always attacked from this area.
3. The barbaric enemy has filled streams with dirt, demolished homes and blown apart all the greenery in Pashmool, Sanzari, Syachowi and also the other areas to make new roads due to the other roads being completely mined.
4. In all these areas, the enemy has destroyed homes with all its belongings inside. The homes were either already abandoned and if they weren’t, they would force its owners to leave by bulldozing the property’s walls.
5. The enemy has dropped types of bombs which have created massive craters and which have also burnt people’s fields and plants so to make an alternative way to enter due to fear of mines being placed on the main roads.
6. In this process, the enemy has Martyred, wounded and imprisoned countless civilians but we don’t have their exact figures.
Alemarah: The enemy claims to have caused Mujahideen many casualties, killed their leaders and also broken their hold on the district?
Mullah Ateequllah Agha: So far 10 Mujahideen have been Martyred which includes a group’s leader and he was not Martyred in Zhiri but rather in Reag district by a night raid. In contrast, the enemy has suffered immense casualties as you might also have heard from the media.
Alemarah: How do you see the result of the current situation and the operations result?
Mullah Ateequllah Agha: The current situation does not differ a lot from the situation before the operation began. Our groups in Pashmool and Sanzari have become active like before and like before, the enemy is always attacked as they come out of their newly built outposts in these areas and also the ones built on the main highway. The only result coming out of the operation is the death and destruction caused to the civilians which deplorably, the foreign and domestic media have been silent about.

Zul Qadah 18, 1431 A.H, Wednesday, October 27, 2010
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
As the readers of Alemarah website might know, a major enemy offensive has been ongoing in Kandahar province for the last one and a half months. Lately the enemy, through its biased media, claims to have rid the surrounding districts of Mujahideen, and to have gained substantial ground against Mujahideen in these areas. Alemarah recently had the opportunity to interview the district commander of Dand district, Mullah Abdullah Mubarak and ask him questions regarding the reality of the situation.
Alemarah: Firstly, could you tell us about the ongoing enemy operations in Dand district and how they came about?
Mullah Abdullah Mubarak: Dand district is located close to Kandahar city, and has a large number of Mujahideen operating inside it. The enemy became frightened that they might, just like Dand, lose Kandahar city to the Mujahideen and started preparatory operations in this district in the month of Ramadan. Enemy soldiers entered Mahlajat, Chalghor, Nakhoni, Khanjakak, Zila Khan and Salawat areas by helicopter and in huge numbers. The Mujahideen, decided to use guerrilla warfare tactics to cause them maximum damage.
We decided to mine all the main roads. When the enemy could not make any inroads, they bulldozed local’s farms and fields so as to gain at least some ground. These attempts proved futile and they suffered massive casualties when the Mujahideen mined there too, and conducted ambushes and missile attacks also. To put it bluntly, a day hasn’t passed, that at least 4 to 10 blasts haven’t detonated their patrols. The enemy then decided to randomly bomb the area using cruise and other missiles which killed civilians and destroyed their homes and fields. Many were forced to flee the district. After these criminal attacks, the enemy took local houses for their military barracks. The enemy has now abandoned most of these barracks. But in the areas they still occupy, they have neither come out, nor can they come out, due to heavy mining and Mujahideen ambushes. But even these bases are located in places where logistics and supply will be a big problem.
Alemarah: It is said that the civilians are the only ones who have been affected by this operation. Could you elaborate on this?
Mullah Abdullah Mubarak: To sum up the genocidal behavior of the enemy in one sentence: These kinds of crimes against civilians have not been seen before in history. I swear by Allah that so far only 5 of our Mujahideen have been Martyred, 3 have been injured and none have been captured. But the prison of Kandahar has been filled with civilians. I would like to summarize these crimes against the civilians of Dand by giving a few examples:
1. When the enemy came to Mahlajat in the morning, they blocked all the roads and blindfolded all who came their way. Nearly all the locals of Dand have shops in the city where they sell fruits and vegetables. Throughout the day the barbarians handcuffed and imprisoned around 300 civilians they called Taliban.
2. A few days earlier, the American invaders besieged Ghra and Mahi Village located in Zila Khan area of Dand district. Most people had left these villages. Ninety-seven people mostly village elders and children remained. Even these were not spared – they were stripped, blind folded, imprisoned, then released after 12 days of enduring many hardships.
3. All the new enemy barracks are in civilian houses and on their lands. They have bulldozed locals’ lands, fields, farms and houses as they try to make inroads against the Mujahideen. Some 500 homes and shops have been bulldozed in Nakhoni area alone. Similar crimes has been carried out in Khanjakak, Chalghor and all the other areas. They recently blew up local raisin houses in Chalghor. Nearly all incidents involve the demolition of homes with everything inside it.
Alemarah: The enemy says that they have killed and captured many Mujahideen and their leaders and destroyed many of their bases. How much of this is true?
Mullah Abdullah Mubarak: The American invaders decided that they would make check points in close proximity by destroying the homes and fields of civilians and this would rid the area of Mujahideen. They did not count on the Mujahideen’s guerrilla tactics. Now the enemy is trapped in barracks in various areas, with no control beyond 50 meters of their posts, and thus cannot come out. As for our casualties, only 5 Martyred, 3 wounded and no leaders killed or captured.
Alemarah: How has this operation affected the Mujahideen and what do you say about the claims of Ahmad Wali Karzai that Mujahideen bases have been destroyed throughout Dand and Kandahar?
Mullah Abdullah Mubarak: I don’t know how Ahmad Wali can make such claims. He cannot sleep in his own house due to constant Mujahideen attacks on it. If he was really honest in his claims then let him just once walk freely in Kandahar city let alone Dand and Panjwaee districts. All these claims are false. And the number of our groups and bases have not decreased compared to spring and summer time. Initially, due to the enemy operation, we decreased the number of Mujahideen but now that the enemy has tired and lost morale, these Mujahideen are returning because enemy numbers have become vast and much easier to target. I want to congratulate the nation for this victory. Our Mujahideen have not suffered any serious damage and the enemy cannot sustain this large force for long – especially with logistics of their newly built bases and barracks becoming harder to supply.
