NOTE: On May 1, 2010 Fayṣal Shahzād attempted to set off a car bomb in Times Square. Below is the message he recorded prior to the failed attack with the Teḥrīk-ī-Ṭālibān Pākistān’s media outlet ‘Umar Studios. On October 5, 2010, Shahzād was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole after pleading guilty to a 10-count indictment in June, including charges of conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction and attempting an act of terrorism.
