New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Regarding the 27th Anniversary of the Soviet Defeat"

27 years ago today on the 26th of Dalwa 1367 (15th February 1989) the Soviet invading forces in our country [Afghanistan] were completely defeated and a new chapter of valor and heroism was written in the proud history of the Afghans.
After a decade of tyranny and barbarism in Afghanistan, the defeat and withdrawal of the Soviet occupiers in spite of having the most advanced military equipment was a clear example of Falsehood succumbing in the face of Truth.
The enemies of our nation and religion have constantly tried to bring us misery, promote irreligiosity, occupy our country and break our determination but all praise is due to Allah, they have failed and taken their dreams with them to their graves.
Unfortunately after the Soviet Union the remaining arrogant international powers not only failed to take heed from the Soviet defeat in Afghanistan but began treading the latter’s footsteps and transgressed against the honor, pride, land, religion and culture of this poor miserable nation.
The humiliating defeat of the Soviet and withdrawal of over a hundred thousand soldiers proves that none can subdue this nation or become an impediment in front of their faith and lofty goals. Whoever seeks to subjugate them should await the same fate as that of the Soviets.
Today’s American invaders are also standing on the edge of overt defeat and have failed at achieving anything during the 14 year occupation. They have been forced to kneel in front of Faith and Afghan valor and it is not far that we shall add the date of American defeat to our calendar just as that of the Soviets.
The Islamic Emirate acknowledges the heroism of the its valiant Mujahid nation on the anniversary of the defeat of the Soviet Union’s Red Army and asks Allah Almighty to reward those who have sacrificed in this path.
At the same time it is determined that just as the Soviet Union, Allah willing, the Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate will also completely defeat the American invaders, emancipate our nation from their oppression and will continue waging Jihad as its religious obligation so long as a single American invader is present on our soil and is an impediment in front of an Islamic government.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Concerning the Passing Away of Mullā Muḥammad Ḥasan Raḥmanī"

With deep sadness news has been received that a renowned Jihadi figure of the country, Mullah Muhammad Hassan Rahmani, has passed away, surely to Allah we belong and to Him is the return.
The late Rahmani Sahib served in many Jihadi fronts in the south western parts of the beloved homeland during the Soviet invasion and lost his leg during this Jihad. When the Islamic Emirate was established, the late Rahmani Sahib joined it and later served the people as the governor of Kandahar up until the American invasion.
After the American invasion of Afghanistan, Rahmani Sahib served admirably as a member of the Leadership Council in the Jihadi ranks of Islamic Emirate.
The late Mullah Muhammad Hassan Rahmani Sahib was recently battling chest cancer and passed away last night due to this illness, bidding farewell to transcendent world for the very last time.
The Islamic Emirate appreciates all of his services and considers his passing as a huge loss for the Muslims generally and the Islamic Emirate specifically all the while praying to the Merciful Lord Almighty to forgive Mullah Muhammad Hassan Rahmani Sahib, grant him the highest Paradise (Firdaws) and bestow patience upon his family and relatives.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's Zabīh Allah Mujāhid: "Remarks Concerning the Restoration of Electricity Pylons in Baghlan"

The stooge Kabul regime forces have been carrying out an operation against Mujahideen for the past 9 days in Pul-e-Khumri district’s Dand-e-Ghori and Shahabuddin areas, Baghlan province, in which they have failed at making any progress and have been forced to retreat on a daily basis due to heavy losses.
The stooge regime forces are continually shelling civilian homes which has caused the destruction of tens of compounds and has displaced the locals.
On top of this the enemy has launched a propaganda campaign against Mujahideen by targeting electricity towers with heavy weaponry, either completely destroying or putting out of service 3 pylons.
The Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate have not destroyed electricity towers in any area and neither do they consider it beneficial for Jihad and our people. If we had plans of destroying electricity towers, there are many pylons  in Mujahideen controlled areas running all the way up to Kabul which have never been touched.
The Islamic Emirate announces that if any technical team seeks to restore electricity pylons destroyed by the enemy in Dand-e-Ghori and Shahabuddin areas of Pul-e-Khumri then the Mujahideen invite them to dispatch technicians and all the needed equipment to the area; Mujahideen will not only not create problems but will even do their utmost to provide security.
Our ongoing Jihadi process stresses upon protection of general utility structures and no Mujahid believes nor has any intention of causing them damage.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Summary by the Representatives of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Given in the Pagwash Conference in Doha"

The fundamental factor behind nearly four decades tragedies of the country is the foreign interferences, invasions, selfishness and incompetence of internal (Afghan) rulers. The invasion of 2001 ushered in many tragedies and issues for the Afghan people which are well-known and still continue. These issues could not be resolved by the use of force.
The Islamic Emirate has started Jihad for obtainment of righteous  and lofty goals rather than for any material gains. War is its necessity not a choice. The Islamic Emirate is committed to peace when its goals for which it has started Jihad,  are met, i.e. the end of occupation and establishment of independent Islamic system.
Peace should not be used as an instrument for achievement of one’s political, personal and party objectives. Unfortunately, foreigners and the Kabul Administration are (now) engaged in these activities and do not have a real intention for peace.
Some preliminary steps should be taken prior to starting peace because without them, progress towards peace is not feasible. Establishment of official venue for the Islamic Emirate; removal of blacklist and prize list; release of prisoners and ending poisonous propaganda are among the preliminary steps needed for peace. Peace is viable only when practical ways of peace are identified and assessed.
The Political Office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is the only authorized and responsible entity assigned by the Islamic Emirate to carry out talks. Issues pertaining foreigners, particularly USA, should be directly discussed between the Islamic Emirate and USA but as to issues pertaining the Afghans, the Islamic Emirate believes, the Afghans have preparedness and capability to resolve these issues themselves.
Islamic Emirate considers it its obligation– as required by its faith and conscious–to serve the Afghan people. The Islamic Emirate is committed to civil activities; to the freedom of speech and to the women’s rights in the light of Islamic rules, national interests and values. It considers it its responsibility to provide to the sons of the nation access to education and protect and construct national installations and assets of public benefits. The Islamic Emirate supports all projects of public benefit including the TAPI project which is aimed at achieving advancement of the country, well-being and prosperity of the people.
Our Jihad is focused on ending the occupation and bringing about Islamic system. We do not want to interfere in others affairs, nor do we use our soil to harm others, nor allow others to interfere in our affairs. We want good relations with the world on the basis of mutual respect. The Islamic Emirate is not against international laws which are not contrary to Islamic rules and our national interests and values.
To end, we urge the public of the world to stand by the Afghan people and the Islamic Emirate in their cause for restoration of independence of the country. The invaders should leave the country and give the Afghan people opportunity to determine their fate themselves; avoid futile propaganda; give the Islamic Emirate right to have its voice and last but not least, to talk directly with the Islamic Emirate for resolution of issues and alleviation of concerns.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's Zabīhullah Mujāhid: "Remarks Concerning Participation By the Delegation of the Islamic Emirate in the Pugwash Research Conference"

On Saturday 23/01/2016 members of the Political Office of Islamic Emirate will participate at a conference convened by Pugwash international NGO in the capital city of Qatar, Doha.
Pugwash international NGO regularly holds conferences throughout the globe in order to find solutions to armed conflicts and has also convened a research conference in the country of Qatar previously. It has once again invited the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to take part in a new conference aimed at finding a solution to the conflict in Afghanistan.
The Islamic Emirate has accepted this invitation and members of its political office shall take part in the research conference. The Islamic Emirate seeks to take healthy advantage of such opportunities and conferences to relay the legal demands of our nation and our just policy to the world directly. It must be reminded that this conference is purely for research purposes with academic debates held on finding solutions to problems.
According to our information other Afghan academics, sides and countries have also been invited to take part in this conference.
Pugwash is an impartial international NGO which regularly holds research conferences around the world aimed at ending armed conflicts so that every side is afforded an opportunity to present their views and policy regarding conflict.
