New statement from Hay’at Taḥrīr al-Shām: “Clarification #1 Regarding the Arrest of Abū Ḥusām ‘Tawqīr Sharīf'”

z3fyyopy

English:

After the arrest of “Abu Husaam” on Tuesday 11th of August; following the attack and abuse of a legal personality which was following up his legal case, and an attempt to forcibly photograph him. After reviewing the relevant entities, opening an investigation in the matter and listening to both parties of the prosecution it was clear that the problem happened on both sides, Abu Husaam “Tauqir Sharif” as the instigator as he acknowledged and then the other party.

We inform everyone that the security authorities does not take lightly in holding accountable who were at fault. We declare to realize truth and its fairness, and in return we see methods of distortion and pressure without knowing the full truth as something that complicates the case and delays its resolution.

We hope that those interested in the case will find truth and clarify what is being said and published, before rushing to point the finger of accusation to anyone or circulate inaccurate stories.
