New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Aghanistan’s Zabīh Allah Mujāhid: “Remarks Concerning Violence Towards Prisoners in Puli Charkhi”

l_DzlA8Q

It is with great sadness to have received reports that yesterday (Tuesday) our oppressed countrymen inside Puli Charkhi prison completely unarmed and lacking any weapons or lethal tools were attacked with live fire by Kabul administration troops resulting in tens of inmates martyred and wounded.

The Islamic Emirate condemns this cowardly action and considers it a violation of all humanitarian and international laws.

Attacking defenseless prisoners with live fire and causing them death and injury cannot be justified under any circumstance and can only be interpreted as the pinnacle of feebleness.

We urgently press all human right organizations, humanitarian institutions and the international community to fulfill their responsibilities, condemn this action, demand an explanation from the puppet Kabul administration and take concrete steps in preventing such horrible occurrences in the future. But if they cannot take any practical steps in this regard then they should not expect any help from the Islamic Emirate in any such related issues.

The Islamic Emirate – as a protector and well wisher of its nation – expresses its deepest sadness and prays for Paradise for the martyrs and quick recovery for the injured.

It also shares in the grief of the families of prisoners and vows that it shall take revenge upon the tyrannical and cowardly enemy for its oppressed countrymen at an opportune time, Allah willing.

The Islamic Emirate has expressed concern many times about the continuing mistreatment, negligence and inhumane behavior towards inmates inside American and Kabul administration prisons. Prisoners are handled contradictory to all internationally recognized principles, obligations, responsibilities and commitments; they are deprived of their rights, lack proper living conditions, are not given medical treatment, are not afforded meetings with family members at designated times and are sometimes targeted in revenge for defeats and failures on the battlefronts, a prime example of which is yesterday’s incident in Puli Charkhi.
