A month ago, Ansar al-Shari’ah in Benghazi (The Supporters of Islamic Law; ASB), on its official Facebook page via its official media outlet al-Rayyah Foundation for Media Production uploaded a poster (see above) promoting a demonstration on Sunday December 16 in Tripoli and Benghazi. The demonstration is in support of Libyans currently imprisoned in Iraq. In the past few months there have been other protests in support of Libyans in Iraq, too. Similarly, Ansar al-Shari’ah in Tunisia (AST) has also held demonstrations in the past for Tunisians that are imprisoned in Iraq. What’s fascinating in this case is that the promotional poster contains names of ten individuals. At the suggestion of the blogger/tweeter that goes by the name of Around the Green Mountain I cross-checked these names with the Sinjar Records to see if there were any matches.
For background on the Sinjar Records see the Combating Terrorism Center’s description in their report that first analyzed these records: “In November 2007, the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point received nearly 700 records of foreign nationals that entered Iraq between August 2006 and August 2007 … The records contain varying levels of information on each fighter, but often include the fighter’s country of origin, hometown, age, occupation, the name of the fighter’s recruiter, and even the route the fighter took to Iraq. The records were captured by coalition forces in October 2007 in a raid near Sinjar, along Iraq’s Syrian border.”
When the raw data was checked, four out of the ten names were a match (or had a part of the name): ‘Adil Jum’ah Muhammad al-Sha’lali, ‘Ali ‘Uthman Hamad al-‘Arfi, Hamzah ‘Ali ‘Awad, and Muhammad Saqr Muhammad. Some information about them:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
عقيدتنا ومنهجنا:
إن الحمد لله نحمده ونستعينه ونستغفره ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيئات أعمالنا من يهده الله فلا مضل له ومن يضلل فلا هادي له ونشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له ونشهد أن محمداً عبده ورسوله.
{يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اتَّقُواْ اللّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلاَ تَمُوتُنَّ إِلاَّ وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ} [آل عمران: 102]، {يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالاً كَثِيراً وَنِسَاءً وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءلُونَ بِهِ وَالأَرْحَامَ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيباً} [النساء:1 ]، {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلاً سَدِيداً يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَن يُطِعْ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزاً عَظِيماً} [الأحزاب: 71 ].
أما بعد:
فهذه عقيدة ومنهج “جماعة التوحيد والجهاد في غرب إفريقيا” فيها بيان وإيضاح لحالنا وما اجتمعنا عليه، فهو دين الله تعالى الذي ندين به ونوالي عليه ومن أجله نجاهد ونعادي.
فنقول بعد حمد الله تعالى والاستعانة به:
– نؤمن أن الله تعالى جلّ في علاه لا إله غيره، ولا معبود بحقٍ سواه، مثبتين له سبحانه ما أثبتته كلمة التوحيد نافين عنه الشرك والأنداد، فنشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، وأن هذه هي أول الدين وآخره وظاهره وباطنه، من قالها والتزم شروطَها وأدى حقَها فهو مسلم، ومن لم يأتِ بشروطها أو ارتكب أحد نواقضها فهو كافر وإن ادعى أنه مسلم.
– ونؤمن أن الله تعالى هو الخالق المدبر له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير، وأنه هو الأول والآخر والظاهر والباطن، {لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ البَصِيرُ}، ولا نلحد في أسمائه تعالى ولا في صفاته سبحانه، ونثبتها له كما جاءت في الكتاب والسنة الصحيحة من غير تكييف ولا تمثيل ولا تأويل ولا تعطيل.
– ونؤمن أن محمدا صلى الله عليه وسلم رسول الله إلى الخلق كافة – إنسِهم وجنِهم – يجب إتباعه وتلزم طاعته في جميع ما أمر به وتصديقه والتسليم له في جميع ما اخبر به، ونلتزم مقتضى قول الله تعالى فيه: {فَلاَ وَرَبِّكَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّىَ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجِدُواْ فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ حَرَجاً مِّمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُواْ تَسْلِيما} [النساء: 65].
– ونؤمن بملائكة الله المكرمين، وأنهم لا يعصون الله ما أمرهم ويفعلون ما يؤمرون، وأن حبهم من الإيمان وبغضهم من الكفران.
– ونؤمن بأن القرآن كلام الله تعالى بحروفه ومعانيه، وأنه صفة من صفات الله تعالى ليس بمخلوق، ولهذا وجب تعظيمه ولزم اتباعه وفُرض تحكيمه.
– ونؤمن بأنبياء الله تعالى ورسله أجمعين، أولهِم آدم عليه السلام وخاتمِهم محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، إخوة متحابين بُعثوا برسالة توحيد رب العالمين.
– ونؤمن أن السنة هي الوحي الثاني، وأنها مبينة ومفسرة للقرآن، وما صح منها لا نتجاوزه لقول أحد كائناً من كان، ونتجنب البدع صغيرَها وكبيَرها.
– وحبُ نبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم فريضة وقربة، وبغضه صلى الله عليه وسلم كفر ونفاق، ولحبِ نبينا صلى الله عليه وسلم نحب أهلَ بيته ونوقرهم ولا نغلوا فيهم ولا نَبهتهم.
– ونترضى عن الصحابة كافة، وأنهم كلهم عدول، وبغير الخير عنهم لا نقول، وحبهم واجب علينا وبغضهم نفاق عندنا، ونكف عما شجر بينهم، وهم في ذلك متأولون، وهم خير القرون.
– ونؤمن بالقدر خيره وشره كُل من الله تعالى، وأنه سبحانه له المشيئة العامة والإرادة المطلقة، وأن ما شاء الله كان وما لم يشأ لم يكن، وأن الله تعالى خالق أفعال العباد، وأن للعباد اختيار أفعالهم بعد إذن الله، وأن قضاءه وقدره سبحانه لا يخرج عن الرحمة والفضل والعدل.
– ونؤمن أن عذاب القبر ونعيمه حق، يعذب الله من استحقه إن شاء، وإن شاء عفى عنه، ونؤمن بسؤال منكر ونكير على ما ثبت به الخبر عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، مع قول الله تعالى: {يثبت الله الذين آمنوا بالقول الثابت في الحياة الدنيا وفي الآخرة ويضل الله الظالمين ويفعل الله ما يشاء}.
– ونؤمن بالبعث بعد الموت وباليوم الآخر، ونؤمن بعرض الأعمال والعباد على الله تعالى، ونؤمن بيوم الحساب والميزان والحوض والصراط، وأن الجنة حق والنار حق.
– ونؤمن بأشراط الساعة، ما صح منها عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وأن أعظم فتنة منذ خلق الله آدم عليه السلام وحتى تقوم الساعة هي فتنة المسيح الدجال، ونؤمن بنزول عيسى عليه السلام قائماً بالقسط ونؤمن بعودة الخلافة الراشدة على منهاج النبوة.

Jamaat Al-Tawhid wa Al-Jihad in West Africa declare the forming the Ansar Al-Sunnah brigade which consist basically from sons of the region from the region especially Songay tribes, as well as forming four military companies:
1- Abdullah Azzam Company
2- Zarqawi Company
3- Abu Al-Laith Al-Libi Company
4- Martyrdom Seeker Company
This new organizational structure comes as result for widening the influence of the Jamaat and its control on the many regions and cities of north Mali and the increase in the number of the fighters in our ranks.
The brigades and companies of the Jamaat will be distributed in a way that align with the challenges that the region is facing internally and externally, in anticipation for any surprises that could occur for the security breach of foreign countries to the Jihadi project, especially Algeria that seek through special parties and tribal figures to secure it from the strikes of the mujahidin and in an attempt to weak the Jamaat by dividing its ranks and strike its unity by declaring the split of Salāh ad-Dīn brigade from the Jamaat, we deny that all the members of Majlis Shura of Salāh ad-Dīn brigade have agreed to this split as well as the fighting soldiers, but rather it is an individual act for the Amir of the brigade (Abu Ali Al-Ansari) and some of those close to him and it is an act that no doubt isn’t primarily in the interest of the efforts spent to unite the Jihadi factions that were set previously in a framework agreed upon by coordination, management and some military action mechanisms and joint action.
Therefore Jamaat Al-Tawhid wa Al-Jihad in West Africa understands well the intended attempts that are weaved by certain parties to drag it to change its strategy towards the apostate regimes and taking the path of the negotiations with the Malian authorities, because it is the demand of some of the peoples of the region and it was what the Amir of the Salāh ad-Dīn brigade called for before declaring his spilt.
Thus Jamaat Al-Tawhid wa Al-Jihad in West Africa pledges to launch attacks of wide geographical extension that targets the states of the apostate regimes that participate in preparing for the invasion of north Mali, after in the previous stage the throne of the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad was broken and following its remnants and the activity of the Mafias of drug smuggling was weakened.

In continuation for the series of the waves that were launched by the War Ministry to revenge the honors of the free women that are violated in the prisons of the Safavid Rafida, Allah facilitated for the mujahidin directing a new wave of strikes against targets that were chosen carefully in the monitoring period that followed the first wave, and most of the detachments succeeded in reaching its targets despite of the security alertness of the Safavid government and their mobilization of their herds in anticipation for these operations and to protect the season of their polytheist visits to graves of their idols in Karbala.
As usual for the media conspiring against Ahli Sunnah in this land, there has been a blackout for all the operations that extended throughout the country, targeting their security headquarters and heads of Kufr from the politicians, judges and commanders of the Safavid security agencies and their allies from the Sunnah traitors who sold their religion and honor, and enabled the Rafidi government to control the necks of Ahli Sunnah, and the details of the operations will be published within the periodical statements that are published by the Information Ministry Allah willing.
We cannot fail here to salute the youth of Ahli Sunah who were pushed by the zeal for the honors to rebel in Anbar, Nineveh, Salāh ad-Dīn and other, and we say to them: Be sincere in your intention and make it only for Allah Almighty, since in that the good of the Dunya and the success of the hereafter, and we warn you from walking behind every croaking rogue traitor who sold his religion, honor and land, whom we didn’t hear from them any murmur or whisper except in fighting the mujahidin and empowering the criminal Maliki government, and justifying its crimes and doping the Muslims and discouraging them by false promises that didn’t preserve a honor or liberate a land or release a captive woman or man from the Rafida prisons throughout the past years, (That is because they believe, then disbelieve, so a seal is set upon their hearts so that they do not understand -3- And when you see them, their persons will please you, and If they speak, you will listen to their speech; (they are) as if they were big pieces of wood clad with garments; they think every cry to be against them. They are the enemy, therefore beware of them; may Allah destroy them, whence are they turned back? -4-) Surah Al-Munafiqoon, since these are the real enemy for Ahli Sunnah, and they didn’t move except when the fire of the Safavid hatred that doesn’t differentiate a zealous Muslim and cuckold apostate as long as he is considered from Ahli Sunnah reached them.
The actions of these traitorous criminals is what gave empowerment for the Safavid project in this land until the honors of Ahli Sunnah became a toy in their hands when they used to dream to have a foothold even an inch in our land before the traitors and their fools plot against the mujahidin… As for your brothers in the Islamic State they Allah willing will continue in their path and they won’t sheathe their swords until Allah judges between them and His and their enemy, and the is the Sunnah of Allah that doesn’t change between His Awliya and enemies, and the filthy Rafida will see from us days and battles which will make the babies go gray…

O’ Allah preserve your slaves Ahli Sunnah, their religion and Dunya, O’ Benefactor O’ Lord of Majesty and Generosity, O’ preserve their men, honors, sons and property, and shield them our Lord from the cunning of the hateful Rawafid and the evil of their criminal traitors, and unit their hearts and reconcile between them and guide them to the paths of peace.
