New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: “Regarding the Desecration of the Tomb and Body of the Just Caliph of Islam, ‘Umar Ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz”

It is with great sadness to have learnt that the tombs of the just caliph of Islam and second century mujaddid (reviver) Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz (RA) and his wife located in Idlib province of Syria were dug up, set on fire and their bodies desecrated.

The Islamic Emirate strongly condemns this despicable act and calls it a heinous crime against Islam. Such heinous actions are the work of elements who seek to stoke hatred between religious sects in the Islamic world and violate sanctums.

We call upon responsible entities in the region to punish the perpetrators of this heinous crime and strictly prevent such offensive occurrences in the future.

New release from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Dhabīḥ Allah Mujāhid: “Remarks Concerning Statement By The European Council”

We welcome the statement by the European Council backing the peace efforts in Afghanistan, however, this statement contains phrases that violate the right of sovereignty of Afghans. It must be said that foreign imposed systems have always produced war and devastation in our homeland and have never been accepted by Afghans. We have constantly shown commitment to non-interference in the internal affairs of others in our statements and on the basis of this international principle, we also expect others to not interfere in our internal affairs nor complicate the issue of Afghanistan even further.

On the basis of the agreement with the United States, American allies are also bound to the commitment of non-interference in the internal affairs of Afghanistan. The future governance system shall be chosen by the Afghans in intra-Afghan negotiations and this is a legitimate right reserved by the Afghans. It is hoped that all parties will honor their commitments, adhere to the international principle of non-interference and not harm the peace process.

New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: “Regarding a Ceasefire During the Three Days of ‘Īd al-Fiṭr”

In order that our countrymen may celebrate their Eid festivities in ease and comfort, the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan orders all the Mujahideen to adopt special preparatory measures for the safety of our countrymen and not to attack the enemy in any place but if there is attack from enemy in any place then a befitting defensive response shall be given.

Also all the Mujahideen shall be aware that no one is allowed to go to areas under the control of the enemy and neither is the other side allowed to come to the areas of Mujahideen.

Ways shall be paved for the countrymen so that they can spend Eid with happiness. Necessary steps shall be taken for their security. Care shall be taken for the families of martyrs and prisoners and all of you shall be vigilant in every part of your noble objectives.
