Mogadishu (Shahaada) – After midnight last night, Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen fighters thwarted a landing operation by American Special Forces targeting Toratorow city, which is located about 100 kilometers southwest of Mogadishu.
Local sources two kilometer from the city said that they witnessed violent clashes between Harakah fighters and American forces lasting nearly half an hour.
The sources added that the attacking forces fired mortars at the city neighborhoods, wounding an old woman.
The military spokesman for Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Abu Mus’ab, said in an interview with Radio al-Andalus that belongs to the Harakah: “Last night, a landing operation executed by Crusader forces trying to attack Toratorow city was thwarted, where they encountered fierce resistance by the brave Mujahideen on the outskirts of the city, forcing them to flee from the battlefield,” according to his words.
Sheikh Abu Mus’ab added that their fighters are always observant and aware of the words of Allah the Exalted: “O ye who believe! Take your precautions…” (An-Nisaa, 71)
This failed landing operation comes at a time when Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen had thwarted several other landing operations executed by American and French Special Forces in Juba and Lower Shebelle provinces.
