New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: “Regarding Allegations of ICC Prosecutor on IEA Leaders”

The Ministry strongly denounces and dismisses the unfounded claims calling for the arrest of the Esteemed Amir-ul-Momineen (May Allah protect him) of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the respected Chief justice of Supreme Court, Sheikh Abdul Hakim Haqqani. These requests, like numerous other decisions made by this particular entity, lack a justifiable legal basis, exhibit double standards, and appear to be politically driven.

The Islamic Emirate condemns this baseless accusatory stance. It criticizes the institution for leveling groundless accusations against esteemed leaders of the Islamic Emirate during a period where peace has embraced Afghanistan.

The populace has just started to experience relief as private prisons, kidnappings, warlords’ power centers, and various other cruel and inhumane practices have dissipated.

It is disheartening that this organization has chosen to overlook the war crimes and acts against humanity committed by foreign forces and their internal collaborators throughout the twenty-year occupation of Afghanistan.

Such blatant misconduct serves to further erode the already fragile credibility of this body and significantly diminishes its global reputation and authority. The institution should refrain from enforcing a specific interpretation of human rights on a global scale while disregarding the cultural and national principles of other nations.
