NOTE: In this statement, the ‘Abdullah ‘Azzām Brigades denounced the visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Lebanon calling it a US-Iranian conspiracy. The ‘Abdullah ‘Azzām Brigades is based in South Lebanon and in early August claimed responsibility for the attack on the Japanese tanker, M. Star, in the Straits of Hormuz.
