New statement from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: "Decree Regarding Release of List of Afghans Martyred by the Communists"

New evidence has recently surfaced which testifies to a major crime in the series of atrocities committed by the Communist regime. A list has emerged detailing the mass killing of five thousand of our countrymen for the crime of being Muslims at the hands of the intelligence agency (AGSA) of the former communist regime.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as the true representatives of its Muslim nation and heir of martyrs, once again condemns this major tragedy with the strongest of words, promises its perpetrators will be brought to justice and condoles the inheritors, friends and families of the martyrs. The Islamic Emirate gave a great deal of attention to this issue during its reign. On the initial day of the liberation of Kabul, it brought to justice some of the notorious perpetrators of this tragedy. Similarly, the Islamic Emirate at that time took an unprecedented step by finding the Shariah ruling for these martyrs after investigations by the High Court and trustworthy scholars of the country and issued a decree by the esteemed Amir ul Mumineen considering all the missing persons at the time of the communists to be martyrs, requiems were taken and order was given to implement the Shariah ruling regarding their widows and heirs.
In another step the Islamic Emirate, after its air force forced a Russian plane to land in Kandahar while laden with equipment intended for the opposition and detaining its crew, put pressure of Russia during negotiations to furnish information regarding the missing Afghans and release them if they are still prisoners however it was regretfully learnt that none of the missing persons were alive but were martyred by the communists.
With this statement, we also release the decree (no. 43) of that time regarding these martyrs so that the readers can have access to full information about this issue.
